I think Roy’s days as Habs property are numbered. I am a fan of his, but I don’t think he’s good enough for a top 6 role. I think we have better internal options for 6 players too.
I would love to see him prove me wrong, but I think he’s done as a Habs prospect, L wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the move for another prospect with a different profile.

What in the actual are we doing with this player has he been sent back and I missed it or something.
We are obviously hanging on to him in the hopes of resting a couple of players.
My guess would be Gallagher and Anderson once we clinch.

Seeing as how he hasn’t proven to be better than any of them at the NHL level (and I’m Newhooks biggest hater), no.
Roy is a tweener. Going to light up the AHL and be a mediocre middle 6 “scoring” winger in the NHL. Hudon 2.0.
Another lesson in why people need to stop overhyping and getting so invested in all prospects until they actually prove it will translate to the NHL. Only a few of them are going to make it. Most of this board was pencilling Roy into the future top 6. lol.
Also not sold on Beck at all, or Kapanen. If one of these 3 pan out for us in the NHL. Great. If two somehow do, that’s very lucky.

He's got two more offseasons and next season of playing hockey to try to improve his explosiveness before he's waiver eligible.
We'll see what he can do...

Yeah, I’m still rooting for him. Hope he surprises us and establishes himself as a viable scoring winger for the big club, but I’m not holding my breath.

It's going to be interesting to see how we do in the playoffs and how will HuGo go about keeping the team together while still having room for young players if we do well.
At this point, I'd like to keep the bottom six together:
Gallagher- Dvo - Anderson
Heineman - Evan's- Armia (when healthy)
But I also want us to get a 2c, have Demidov enter the top six, and move Newhook and Dach down to the bottom six.
Not enough room for everyone, even if Beck, Kapanen, Roy and F. Xhekaj are in Laval as injury replacements next year.
