Player Discussion Josh Norris (C) 6’-1” - Part 3

how many back injuries has Ullmark had?

Norris shoulder are def much much more concerning
He has been injured 11 times since 2018, twice with the Sens according to Fox Sports .https://www.foxsports.com/nhl/linus-ullmark-player-injuries. Sorry for implying they were all back injuries. All of the injuries in prior years are listed as either lower body or undisclosed so who knows what the issues were.

Considering he was a backup in Buffalo and a tandem last year in Boston, that's a lot of injuries for a goalie who wasn't a starter.

With Norris currently out injured, it is concerning especially since they won't disclose the injury. Upper body could be anything. Good news that he practiced earlier today in a non-contact jersey.

Look at the above video.
Grey jersey - Don't think that's a non-contact jersey.

Amazing game.

He is clutch and his PK skills combined with his FO skills are a huge benefit to this team.

He and Pinto are deadly together and it was great to see Norris get so much ice time in OT after such a string effort. It was also great to see Green put that duo out together in OT. I hope they become a Go To pair with Chabot in OT from now on.

In OT, in that fight along the boards he was in, he was able to squeak the puck out to the open slot where Chabot was cruising in for the OT winner. Awesome.

Yesterday's game, along with the faceoffs ability and physical hedge he has displayed all season, made me more of a Norris believer than his 35 goals season ever did.

That was a bonafide elite 1C performance. Didn't think he had it in him. Welcome and welcome back, Josh.

If he is actually being shopped, what a showcase game for him last night. But I hope he stays.

With a game like that, he either really wants to stay or really wants to go.

If you're Vancouver and the offers for Pettersson have been bad after Carolina moved on, and you saw that game, you maybe have to start to wonder if Norris could be their solution.

Now do it again. Norris has shown he has some good games in him. Still would like to see him shoot more vs pass it off in the slot but he has more in him than we see most of the time... It would be really great if he can bring it more often
