You think there’s a difference in how he’s playing? I don’t see it. Only difference is that he is incredibly snake bit.

His fancy stay numbers are actually better than last year by a fair bit.
For sure, could be lingering effects for high ankle sprain also. I had high ankle sprain one time, I was long while before I was myself. They not the same as ordinary ankle sprain. I went back for second x-rays. Thought it was broke for months.

You know things are bad for you when you finally score a goal and it is an empty netter...on pace now for 3 goals 13 assists for 16 points and just over 100 PIM.

Anyone know where to see his interview ? I guess it was after last game. Or maybe not. Ron MacLean mentioned it and said they'd show it later, but never did.

He was interviewed by TVA but the anglo feed switched right away to the TOR game.

Here’s a small clip but still not as epic as Slaf’s 1st star interview last year 😂

Damn his two butts cried 6 tears.

My joke actually fits in as it looks like he shed a few tears.

Thanks I'll take it and yeah that's the one thing I miss about RDS/TVASport

Anderson playing like his old self last few games. Injury from last season took him 20 games to get 100%. I had high ankle sprain took me a long while to get back. Last summer I didn't think he would even be able to start the season

I get that everything here is done with good intentions by Josh and good intentions by the fans, but there is something awkward about all this.

Josh was in a tough spot here as he needed to acknowledge the fans for their unwavering support, but the outward gesture between the fans and Anderson here looks like they had just accomplished something huge like a Stanley cup win

Don't blame the fanbase for cheering on moral victories. Blame the owners and staff for lowering the standard to the point it's all we can celebrate.

Anderson also played a big role on the Cup finals team from just 2.5 years ago…

The thing with Anderson is that fans recognize the efforts. Take Gallagher, completely useless but he is trying his 150% every game still. You have to cheer for that when it happens to succeed.

Fully disagree. The game needs more of this, and the Montreal market needs more of this. It could go a long way in turning the reputation around of a terrible place to play when you're not playing well/losing.

Look at Trea Turner this year with the Philadelphia Phillies fans, it was a very similar situation that paid off with both Turner turning his whole season around and the Phillies getting a feel-good story about their market.

It probably feels awkward to you because it's unfamiliar. And that's probably a good thing.

Happy for him. Happy for the team. Happy for management. He is supposed to be an important player for this team and is paid accordingly so.

Has to feel good mentally for him , thats a feel good story

Josh is a limited player who worked his way to the nhl with a lot of effort , fans recognize that

The lack of privacy and anonymity are bigger "problems" in this market. These elaborate salutes by the crowd won't change that.

Just because that's also a problem doesn't mean this isn't. We've heard time and time again from former players "Montreal is the best place to play.... when things are going well"

This wasn't a 10 minute ovation, it was a nice gesture from a crowd who recognized one of our guys had been having a rough go of it.

The context here is whether a salute like this somehow turns around montreal's reputation. It doesn't.

Threw a couple of big hits and got right in Dillon's face.

I didn't notice Dillon after that.

Dillon is a tough dude, as I mentioned in the GDT, but he knows Anderson is one of the toughest players in the league.

His shot needs work. Not the power, but how he releases it.

He opens his blade and that's why he fires the puck over the f***ing net so much.

For those who may not know, opening his blade means he angles it up, allowing for more of the stick to get underneath. It helps to get the puck up faster, but from a distance you're probably putting it over the net by a lot. Seem familiar ?

He needs to keep the blade neutral, or close it. Close it is just the opposite and aim the top of the blade towards the ice, the bottom goes a bit away from the puck.

He's a strong dude and an NHL, so even closing his blade will have the puck fire over the net at times, but it will be less.

I didn't really pay attention before recently, but that's what I've seen as to why he fires the puck over the net so much.

Little kids do that to actually raise the puck because they don't have the strength to do it from neutral, or closed.

But it doesn’t provide fuel for other teams to use when bidding for a player, as the Orville Redenbacher fury this past draft did….
