if ankle has been ruled out and ACL appears to be fine, then it has to be MCL or patellar injury? just better hope its not a tear which would end his season

I wonder if it’s going to end up being a strain along the lines of a hyper extension where there’s no horrible damage but still requires a couple of weeks of rest for the stretched out ligaments.

Players can be signed off other teams practice squad.
Yep. Especially when it’s going from PS to the main 53 man roster. Isn’t there a rule as to a minimum number of games you need to be on the main roster if signed away from a PS?

It’s on GB management now as they decided to only have Clifford and Willis as their main backups. And Willis just arrived so he doesn’t know the full playbook.

Indy at home, road to Ten and home to Minny to finish out Sept. not a death row of QBs. Youngsters in Richardson and Levis and a reclamation in Darnold. But games GB counted on in Winning to compete for the North title.

major bullet dodged

now let's see if they go acquire a QB or just ride it out with who they have. doubt they win a game with either willis or clifford starting though

Packers think they’re miracle workers with quarterbacks, they should think they’re fine with Willis or Clifford. They did a top 30 visit with Clifford.

willis has zero pocket awareness. don't think even the packers HOF QB factory can save him

Well, they’re both on the roster. What are we doing here if you don’t believe in your program?

it did seem odd that they didn't bring in someone with a dozen or 20 starts to be the main backup for Love who is a 1 year starter. Going to have to rely heavily on Jacobs and the run game and OL. Defence will also need to step up.

Again, not a murderer's row of QBs to go up against, but all are considered better than what GB will be trotting onto the field, be it Clifford or Willis.

GB probably was banking on winning all 3 games to close out Sept, but now, it's going to be a challenge to do that. Assuming Love is out 3 weeks at least with his MCL.

Packers just spent a 6th or 7th to acquire Willis.

Outside a free agent, I doubt they make a move.

Willis has zero anything. No pocket awareness, can't read a defense, his arm isn't good.

Green Bay's best hope until Love comes back is to run Jacobs into the ground. This is why you got him.

Wouldn't the best hope be to play Clifford? And if they go 0-4 give up.

Clifford should know the playbook. Been there for 2 training camps and 2 pre-seasons. Willis has been in GB for just over 2 weeks now. If they start Willis, going to be a condensed playbook. Same with Clifford, but it would be more than what you can run with Willis.
