Prospect Info: Jordan Dumais, 96th overall, Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)

Would love to see him bounce back and show continued growth at the pro level. I still don't see him as more than a depth guy and possible fill in for injury. Still feels like a tweener adn that's not terrible. I just don't see him breaking the lineup in the NHL

He's probably in line to be more of a TFW type of guy.

There's a chance though that his health rebounds really well and he has some big gains from conditioning and skating that he can make, and then who knows.

I had TFW in my mind, but think Dumais could have more upside. Seems more cerebral. Certainly hoping he can become a good pro and maybe even surprise like an Atkinson. I've never been big on him as a prospect, but always hope they can support the organization and you just never know. I don't count him out

after starting his pro career with 4 points in the first 4 games, he had gone pointless in his last 7. not shooting the puck much either.. 2 shots on goal last 4 games. his shot, which he is known for.

guess it’s to be expected after not playing for so long. good to see him back on the ice regardless.

I'll be curious to see how well he plays next season if he can have a healthy off-season. His constant battling of injuries could do real harm to his ability to ever come close to his potential.

it might not just be a rust thing, cleveland's lineup isn't exactly built to provide him with ample opportunity at this point.

they have two older undersized wingers (grimaldi and tfw) putting up huge points. dumais and brindley aren't filling the stat sheet. neither is malatesta, who obviously plays a different game but still falls into that same bucket. and roman ahcan also plays a big role on that team.

cleveland's offense is almost entirely driven by those two guys + DBB at this point, anyway. especially with mateychuk sticking in the NHL.

Malatesta has been out for more than 2 months. Just FYI. Dumais will get his chance next year and both Grimaldi and TFW are likely not part of the organization.
