I would trade Seth for future considerations if there was no retention involved
I dont know, its tempting, but I feel like you could get SOMETHING for him, and hopefully two teams compete to get him for very little and it drives the price up slightly. I just hope they don't trade him to a team he wants to go to and just take whatever that team offers. I dont want to do Seth any favours.

They might have to do that because this is reaching distraction levels.

Distracting what? Another shitty season, with a shitty roster, and a zero experience head coach marching to another top 5 pick? I am not trading Jones to make him happy or stop the "distraction" unless it is a deal that benefits the Blackhawks. Jones can sulk collecting his millions and we can keep competing with San Jose & Nashville for biggest sucktitude perfectly fine distracted. Ideally this don't go past this Summer, but there is no rush to get something done by the TDL and we'll all survive another 40ish days past the deadline with Jones. Hell, if he is here, he can continue being the whipping boy and earn his paycheck getting booed at home and blamed for all that ailes the Hawks.

as much As I would love there to be some movement in the next week, most moves wont start until next WED and with so few teams out of there ready to sell. if you look at the teams that could sell and what they have to sell and what they want in return there is just not alot out there.

Convenient for him to speak up and play hard now that he wants off this team. He's been the highest paid player on the team the majority of his time here. He's a bigger problem than the majority of the guys he's now complaining about.

How many times have we seen him screw up to then just take his sweet ass time to recover while his linemates are busting their asses to cover for his screw up?

I think the locker room will be much better without him anyway, and the evidence this year speaks for itself when he was out with an injury. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they go on a little winning streak if he is traded before the TDL similar to a bump in energy for a new coach.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, loser.

when you're getting this kind of body language from Kane the 1st game ever on your new team for a simple mistake there might just be something to all of this talk about him as a teammate

I mean that would be a gift to the Hawks, yes it would be nice to get something of value but to essentially pay for Bedard's extension with that deal it would be a free square in a way...we don't need Seth on pair 3 making 9.5 per feeling entitled to Lev and Rinzel's minutes which are way more important to the long term trajectory of the team

can KD just tell SJ and his agent to work with his desired teams on a deal and have them come up with something of value for him if he wants to move otherwise he isn't going anywhere...Hawks should do him absolutely no favors, he got a monster contract and he's not worth the money, to then turn around and be a problem as well

it was mentioned his agent pat Brinsson was working with the hawks to find something

I think they'll get something.

Dallas, Colorado, Florida, Tampa, NYR, Carolina, and Columbus are all teams that are capable of adding him.

Doesn't mean they'll all necessarily be in on him, but as you said if even two want him for the playoffs that could drive the price up.
