Mayor has been right plenty of times. People just rather point out the times he's wrong. I guess it's way more fun to pretend he's some Eklund level hack, but I personally enjoy his work and take him seriously.

I believe he's been accurate about some injuries, but when it comes to trades and rumors there has been a lot of misses. He was also a lot snappier back then so that made me dislike him.

I won't argue that, but in order to be wrong you have to at least have the b*lls to share what you've heard. I respect that he puts himself out there instead of saying nothing for fear of being viewed as less than credible.

He called the transition of the captaincy from Brown to Kopitar months in advance and I'm pretty sure at the time, a lot of people were pointing and laughing, saying his information is bogus.

Just saying, folks should be fair to the guy. Call him out for being wrong, but give him credit when he's right.

hes been right a few times and has been wrong more often than not. other than the captaincy going to Kopitar, what has he been right about in the last 3 years? I give credit where its due but his word means next to nothing to me

If Quick can settle the team I'm for it.

He will have to come in playing ***** out tho and I'm not sure that will happen.

Hope it is not premature.

Nothing wrong with him as long as you take everything with a grain of salt. He obviously has some sources so he will be right about some things but he will also be wrong.

Only problem I have is those on here that are like "Well, The Mayor said..." as if it is gospel.

Also have a problem with people actually calling him "The Mayor" as opposed to simply saying Hoven. It's like the ****ing Maestro in Seinfeld. Whatever floats your boat but I will only call him that once he is elected to office.

I figured the Kings would have sent Quick to the AHL for a brief conditioning stint, guess not. Right into the fire. Just hope he's at 100%.

So everyone besides Jon Rosen knows that Quick will be playing tomorrow. Typical.

Mayor is right for once. How many years did it take?

Rosen sacrifices being able to speculate by having much better access. He only releases stuff approved by the team. So until it's a given he can't say.
But since it was said Quick was in a full practice today you know he is very close.

Something was mentioned on Twitter about that earlier in the day and it was said he wasn't going awhile ago.
Something from Sutter like, when he is ready he will play.

He's gonna have to get into game shape and can't do that without starting.

Anyway, people talking like he's the Goku of the team arriving just in time to save his teammates.

Quick in goal and Kopitar with an assist to Gabbi and one to TT will move me a few inches away from the ledge

While Quick won't score goals, I think we could see the team play differently in front of him.

JR's a hack. The kings are stupid if they're starting quick against the ducks of all teams.
You know that pos Perry is gonna run quick at every opportunity. If that happens, I'm seriously questioning management

- 12 regular season and playoff home games against the Ducks since 13-14
- 3-7-2 for the Kings
- 9-2-1 for the Ducks
- 19GF, 1.58 per game
- 32GA, 2.67 per game
- One of the games was the outdoor game
- 2 goals for the Ducks were the SO winning goal
- In only 2 of the 12 games have the Kings scored more than 2 goals
- In those 2 games, the Kings scored 3 goals in each, and lost in a SO, and won in OT
- The Kings have been shut out in 3 of the 12 games, including that outdoor game, and the most recent game this season
- In the 3 wins for the Kings, the Ducks have scored 4 goals, and are 0-2-1
- In the 5 games where the Ducks have scored 2 goals or less, they are 2-2-1
- In the 10 games where the Kings have scored 2 goals or less, they are 2-7-1.

Been a rough stretch against the Ducks on home ice is what I'm saying.
