If you're getting that many shots per a game - and converting regularly on them - you might actually be too good for that level.
That said... Leave him there for a stretch. Let him dominate and feel good himself before calling up while cleaning up his ES play.

His ev production is actually still solid well above 2 per 60. Obviously it stands out that his pp production is insane.
yeah, ES i was thinking more in terms of his two way game.

This is where I'm at, too. He's doing well - let him get to 10-15 games, and if he's sustaining, give him a reward.
post game show was talking about the potential of calling him up if Boeser is out a couple of games. Might not be a bad idea, give him a taste of it and then send him back down after Boeser comes back.
Hopefully Boeser doesn't miss any games.
Watching my first Abby Canucks game tomorrow night, excited to see this kid in action.

Unless he’s being called up to just see some PP time, there is no way Tochett is letting him see much ice at 5 on 5.
Add in the fact that thus far he’s playing far too often on the perimeter, calling him up now is not what’s best for his development.
Be patient with the kid and put him in a position to succeed when he’s called up…
Having him cost us goals and watching Tochett staple him to the bench is not the way to do that.

So what if he doesn’t crash the net. If the guy can score goals from 30 feet out than that’s great.
And he doesn’t need to “cook” or whatever in the AHL. He is not new to this level of hockey. He played a full season in the SHL, where he was one of the best goal scorers in the league, so he shouldn’t need to prove him self at the AHL level at this point. He’s earned his spot as the first call up if Boeser is injured, and quite frankly, we need that left side one timer to improve our very average power play.
I feel like it’s a waste of time for him playing with guys that struggle to make good passes, or set him up. Let’s see what he can do with other elite players like Hughes and regular Pettersson.

This early in the year, I don't see a lot of downside in calling up Lekkerimaki for a couple of games, just to expose him to the faster pace and quicker decision-making of NHL hockey.
That's what they did with Bains and Karlsson last year, and it really seemed to benefit them. Trying Lekkerimaki in limited minutes and on the second unit PP, would be highly beneficial imo.

Yeah there is really no downside, experiencing regular season Tocchet would be good for Lekk. Once Boeser comes back, he's going to be sent back anyways so I really don't see the harm.

Great shot unfortunately he isn’t built for the NHL. Another fragile player that will get thrown around when he’s in the NHL

Curiously, I don't worry too much about Lekkerimaki's size, and I doubt Tocchet will either.
He's wiry kid, who's very strong on his blades. I've watched him now for 15 games or so in the AHL, and he really is not being intimidated or pushed around at all. And when a kid is lighting it up like he is right now, you can almost guarantee that some goons in the AHL are going to try and run him.
The great equalizer for Lekkerimaki is that when does get even the slightest opening out on the ice, he can let fly with that howitzer of a shot. He won't need much time or space to light the lamp at the NHL level either.

It's good that he's being placed in an offensive position on the top line with Miller and Debrusk, and taking Boeser's spot.

Was an entertaining game, nice buzz throughout the arena, back to back scraps, Lekkerimaki didn’t play though lol which sucked, player that stood out the most for me was Pettersson, good size, physicality, speed, awareness, he’s going to be in the NHL soon.
