Never said it wasn't. Just said it wasn't one of his better games.making mistakes is a learning process.
His ev production is actually still solid well above 2 per 60. Obviously it stands out that his pp production is insane. If you're getting that many shots per a game - and converting regularly on them - you might actually be too good for that level.
That said... Leave him there for a stretch. Let him dominate and feel good himself before calling up while cleaning up his ES play.
yeah, ES i was thinking more in terms of his two way game. His ev production is actually still solid well above 2 per 60. Obviously it stands out that his pp production is insane.

post game show was talking about the potential of calling him up if Boeser is out a couple of games. Might not be a bad idea, give him a taste of it and then send him back down after Boeser comes back. This is where I'm at, too. He's doing well - let him get to 10-15 games, and if he's sustaining, give him a reward.
Detailed report expected.Watching my first Abby Canucks game tonight, excited to see this kid in action.

Yeah there is really no downside, experiencing regular season Tocchet would be good for Lekk. Once Boeser comes back, he's going to be sent back anyways so I really don't see the harm. This early in the year, I don't see a lot of downside in calling up Lekkerimaki for a couple of games, just to expose him to the faster pace and quicker decision-making of NHL hockey.
That's what they did with Bains and Karlsson last year, and it really seemed to benefit them. Trying Lekkerimaki in limited minutes and on the second unit PP, would be highly beneficial imo.
I don't read too much into his -8 in Abbotsford. With all the ice-time he's getting and with their blueline at bit of a train-wreck at the moment, the plus-minus is bound to take a beating.
this is insanity.Great shot unfortunately he isn’t built for the NHL. Another fragile player that will get thrown around when he’s in the NHL
Canucks really have to start drafting players w size for the big league
Hugh Jessiman all daythis is insanity.
would you rather Crouse Zacha Debrusk Virtanen Ritchie DalColle Puljujarvi Rasmussen Hayton Podkolzin or Konecny Barzal Connor Nylander Ehlers Fiala Keller Suzuki Hughes Caufield etc etc etc

"Tweaked something"-- Shot the puck so many times, he strained his wrist.
Lekkerimaki out for tonights game. Sorry for the bad news bud.
Detailed report expected.
It's good that he's being placed in an offensive position on the top line with Miller and Debrusk, and taking Boeser's spot.
Still think the best spot for him is with Pettersson. But I imagine Tocchet will shake up the lines against Calgary like he always does.
