Johnny had another outstanding season. So much so that he's inspired me to combine two of my favorite things - hockey and 90's Disney music.

The lyrics just work. Rock on Johnny!

I'm predicting a sophomore slump unfortunately :(

Not sure if you're joking, or...

I'm thinking 85-95 if things continue and the new coach gets the PP going.

It also will help there is another capable scoring winger with Gaudreau and Monahan, and more scoring coming from the other lines (maybe a guy graduating, a break-out year from a Bennett type, and/or a free agent signing), to take attention off of Gaudreau's line and himself.

But yes, a much more effective PP could add an additional 10-15 points to his production. But will it improve enough for that to happen? His 5-on-5 production was pretty much on mark with Patrick Kane's. Kane also had his very capable wingers for the entirety of a season, and had Shaw/Ladd/Toews/Hossa on that second line to take heat off of him.

I predicted 82-26-41-67 and 80 points for Gaudreau's first two seasons. I came close to my marks. I can see an 88 point season. Something similar to what Kane did his third season. 80-32-56-88

I hope he still has another gear or two to grow into (ie. may his meteoric rise continue some more). Such a pleasure to watch. Wishing he works hard in the offseason and puts on a couple of pounds of muscle too.

As others have said, and even Mr. Cammalleri, one of the best things about Gaudreau is his size and elusive nature. Adding too much size could hinder his game more than helping it. But yes, there is that one time I fear he gets leveled and has issues going forward, like a Marc Savard or Steve Sullivan.

But he's even smarter than those guys and plays in a more open free wheeling league... plays with his head up and is very shifty... The physical element of the league has been dialed down since Savard and Sullivan played in their peak years. The goon is being phased out, and aggressive nature of the game has been played has been dialed down.

I was searching this just to see if Johnny was in the top ten. He was.

Now keep in mind this stat is unfavorable to players who play on the penalty kill. Still thought it was exciting. He just needs to get things rolling on the road trips. Other than Johnny being right at the top, for me the biggest surprise was Dubinsky.

I like this much - thanks. It shows just how good JG is compared to the upper echellon players. Hopefully his agents aren't aware of these stats :)sarcasm:).
