Confirmed with Link: John Tortorella relieved of his duties as Flyers coach. Brad Shaw to take interim charge for now.

So who's next? Gonna be Quennville isn't it?

If it is, I'll miss this board, but I am absolutely 100% the f*** out at that point. I will either find another team (probably Washington or San Jose, unless I do figure out the whole moving to Canada thing and they're gracious enough to let me in) or cut hockey out entirely.

I'm aware of enough of the details of the Kyle Beach incident to know that I will never support an organization that employs Joel Quenneville. He can go find a job somewhere else, I have no control over that, but if he comes to the Flyers, I leave, until he and anyone involved in the decision to hire him is gone.

The Flyers have employed a murderer and a rapist. Flyers have Danny Heatly as a scout. Yet you still follow them currently. Seems odd to me to then stop if they hire Joel.

Off the top of my head, I don't know who you're referring to in the first case, and if the second is the person I think you mean, trading for him was the first time I stopped following the team, and I didn't come back until he was gone. (If it's someone else, I don't know who.)

Beyond that, I set my boundaries where I set them. Others can make their own decisions.

MacTavish many years ago.

Ah, fair, wasn't aware of his history. Not something I remember being discussed much at the time, but then again, I was 12, I don't remember all that much other than math homework and Final Fantasy from back then.

If I was aware, I might have put him in the same bin as Billy f***ing Tibbetts, who I still hate Clarke for trading for.

If/when Hart is cleared wonder if that is something they revisit. Shocked he didn't go play in Russia or somewhere. Though not sure if allowed to leave the country.

97-107-33. Obviously no one was counting. Culture matters more than winning even if it is a losing culture.
Shaw's comment should disqualify him from being a future hire. Wimpy, give him the hook.
When you add in the culture coefficient that record is actually 237-0 and we have won 4 Stanley Cups :P

Guess that explains the main reason why.

Wonder if any these players will ever make it back to the NHL if they are found not guilty or whatever they have in Canada.
Who knows maybe. Canada has a very lenient judicial system. Something like this wouldnt have advanced to this stage unless there was a very compelling case. You shouldn't assume guilt but I would be very surprised if this ends well for them.

What do you think should happen to them if they are found guilty?
