Absolutely. My point is that it wasn’t just one prohibitive decision, it was a series of of them. It’s just the point that they made a franchise prohibiting decision for a coach they were clearly no longer committed to.

The Flyers don’t get it wrong occasionally, they do it all the time. They should employ the George Costanza theory of opposite choices.
And Roenick too, for taking puck back in the zone unnecessarily, getting checked and Modi ‘s shot broke Ragnarsson’s hand.Blame Eric Desjardins’ kid for this mess. If he never asks his dad to play catch in 2004, the Flyers go to the finals instead of the Lightning and we never hear about this perennial loser again.
Good memory, I’ve never heard that brought up.And Roenick too, for taking puck back in the zone unnecessarily, getting checked and Modi ‘s shot broke Ragnarsson’s hand.
I remember it so clearly. Roenick carried the puck out of the zone, then swooped back in like a hotdog and coughed it. Modin got the puck and shot, Rags blocked it, breaking his hand. That was the last straw. All he had to do was skate it over centre and dump it in.Good memory, I’ve never heard that brought up.
Someone i used to sit near blamed Danny Markov for losing an icing but I don’t remember which game or goal it was. She said it was Modin, but he wasn’t even on the ice for that and it wasn’t that kind of play.
Think I may have found this since the last we saw of Ragnarsson was the opening shift of game 3, where Modin took a shot.I remember it so clearly. Modin won the NHL’s hardest shot in 2001.
I was completely convinced that if they won game 6 that they would win game 7. They obviously got run over in 97, but I’m pretty sure they win in either 2000 or 2004This team losing Game 7 is still the only time I've cried tears of sadness from any of my Philly teams. Hard to watch any of this even though Game 6 is maybe my favorite Flyers game of all time. So many "what ifs" and I'm always going to be convinced they'd have crushed the Flames in the SCF.

I was only 7 during the 2000 playoffs so I don't remember it that well other than being crushed the Devils won the series and Lindros was dead. By 2004 I knew every player and every stat. I was fully invested.2000 is the what-if year that should be spoken of more. I've always felt it on par with 2004.
