Confirmed with Link: John Tortorella relieved of his duties as Flyers coach. Brad Shaw to take interim charge for now.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
If you want to full tank one more year just make Rocky the coach.

Remember when we were told flyers are only a good goaltender away from playoffs.

On the plus side, if there is truth in Friedman reporting Torts stepped down on his own as opposed to Briere firing him, then it's unlikely Torts is being moved upstairs to some managerial role.

I mean Briere's statement says that he made the decision to relieve him of his duties so the truth actually being Tortorella stepped down will make me chuckle a bit.

Always a clusterf***.

Lazy is right. His comment forced the firing, and now he gets all the money he's owed without having to do any more work.
With his comments before about not wanting to be a lame duck head coach, I am actually of the mind that the trio decided the easiest thing to do was let Briere take the "credit" for removing him when he was not interested in coaching anymore so Torts could still get his money.
