So we have had better teams then him? Twice we have been 2nd in west and maybe had a chance to be a legit team those two years, no actual sustained winning like many cup teams often repeat. Sure we can pray about cup runs but it's not realistic even with the best coaching.

I know coaching can make or break some things but at the same time does our coaching get a whole lot better if we had a legit 2nd line?

Does the team get better and mask bad coaching more? Yes.
Does coaching get better? No.
