Player Discussion John Beecher

Crazy the difference in this thread from the first few pages to the last few pages.

I’d qualify him and give him a one year deal and not think twice about waiving him if he doesn’t bounce back.

But I do think last year was a tire fire and him getting another shot, with notice he is on double secret probation or whatever, is totally reasonable given what folks were saying about his game and potential just a year ago.

A team can be champion with a 4th line with Kopke, Beecher and Kastelic. Never with the 2nd and 3rd lines that we had. He is not the problem.
he may not be THE problem, but he is a problem, literally every play dies on the stick of Johnny Beecher

I don`t expect any 4th line to be loaded with players who has sick skills who you can pencil in for 40 pts a year, I think the numbers Koepke put up are decent , Kastelic, if healthy, should put up 20pts or thereabouts, for me, that`s all I can ask of a 4th liner.

Beecher can`t do that, first, his hockey IQ is questionable and 2nd, as mentioned, pucks go to die on the island that is named Beecher

He was a major problem the entire season. The Beecher who played against Florida had a chance at an NHL career. The Beecher of this season did absolutely nothing aside from win faceoffs at a decent rate.

Zero physicality. Zero forecheck. Zero... anything. Massive disappointment. I've said before, simply be another Kuraly and he would be a career NHLer. Not this.

Bust is the word we hear and a bust he is unless he motivates himself and adds physicality.

What is a decent faceoff win rate?

For every 100 faceoffs he took, he won 4 more than he lost. 52-48.
