That's a little tougher. I guess no? Beecher's value is that he can play center and PK where Wahlstrom could easily be replaced by getting more proven scoring this summer.Are they qualifying Wahlstrom? Because the only difference I see between him and Beecher is one was a Bruins draft pick and the other wasn't.
When it comes to upgrading on Beecher, they're probably going to have to pay 2x the price. Take Kevin Stenlund for example. He scored 15 points in the regular season last year with Florida (4 more than Beecher this year) and 1 point in their cup run and got a 2x2.
He obviously lived up to the contract this year but I guess I would rather just focus all our cap space on getting scoring and a RHD and let the other chips fall into place.
