Confirmed with Link: JJ Peterka Traded to Utah for Michael Kesselring and Josh Doan

I just can't get that angry about this trade. JJP was fun and he could explode Briere-style but he was never that important to the team build to me

I wish the value was a bit better in our direction but i don't see this as any sort of disaster at all

Doan could replace 20ish by himself, given decent linemates.

I’m not really seeing that. He’s the same age as Peterka and hasn’t stuck in the NHL for a full season. It isn’t easy to score 20 goals in the NHL, and he won’t be getting top 6 minutes. He was on pace for 11 goals last year, and 10-15 goals feels about right.

Top 6 forward for a bottom pairing D we hope can play tougher min.

This will fail. The Sabres are always chasing their tails.

This guy is not a top 4 D and I hope they don’t try and sell him as one.

That’s what I’ve been saying was happening all along. Terry won’t pay the bonuses in an offer sheet so he wouldn’t have matched. It was this or a few picks via offer sheet return.

I am totally fine with this return, but I understand the folks who are pissed off. Something like this should have been done two years ago.
Years back when PJB returned Islanders fans went around Nassau Coliseum and put pictures of John Tavares in every urinal in the place.

Just saying...

It’s whelming

It is what it is. A middling RD with zero PK ability (so far), a powerish forward still struggling to find his game, for a one dimensional offensive winger.

And 5-6 million in cost savings next year for the big guy. Lifestyle secured!
