It was staring us all right in the face:
Adams added another friend’s son
Adams added another friend’s son
I almost posted this exact trade…it was one of a few potential similar targets:That’s… better than I expected.
I knew you would hate it, Im pretty meh, might need a drink tonightThis is beyond a shit deal.
In 2024-25, Doan made the team, but floundered (as noted below by Keith), struggling for offense and was sent to Tucson to find his game. He did just that, posting nearly a point-per-game in the AHL and getting called back up for good in January. His 17 points in those last 42 games were still a tad on the disappointing side, but he drove possession relative to quality of competition, was one of the stronger ones on the team in fact, and formed great chemistry on a shift disturber line alongside Lawson Crouse and Jack McBain. That kind of deployment would put a bit of a roof on his upside, but he’ll still provide secondary scoring.
Ehh I’m not sure I disagree. We were about to get a much crappier return via offer sheet when you realize that Pegula would never pay the bonuses.I think kesselring is a great fit but wow that’s bad value for what we were told was a huge ask
And apparently Doan's underlying metrics were sneaky good while playing with a couple of guys who aren't offensive dynamos.I almost posted this exact trade…it was one of a few potential similar targets:
Cuylle + Sneider
McMann + Carlo
Down + Kesserling
This was actually my least favorite but I really like that it makes us MUCH tougher to play against.
He listens to his puppet master who told him the 4.5 million total to re-sign these two players is better than the 7 to sign Peterka. It’s certainly bad value on paper, but it tells me Kevyn listens to his analytics guys… so there’s that.
Waiting for Bill Armstrong to stop laughingI wonder what the holdup was
Yeah he's been getting hyped specifically for this role, we'll see if he is.Kesselring better be worth it.
You dont trade a top line winger whos 23, however flawed, for this. Especially when you allegedly had a high price.I knew you would hate it, Im pretty meh, might need a drink tonight![]()
I'm convinced the "contingency" was Adams told Utah that he wanted to sleep on it, Utah then leaked itI wonder what the holdup was
