I said it in the pregame they needed to approach this game with a team defense mentality and stick with the game plan win or lose going into the two this weekend.

They need to find their lines, consistency buying into the game they need to play and this is very close to it.

Power play goal: Chytil from Kakko and Lafreniere was nice to see.

But most importantly: Igor. It all starts with Igor. He’s been inching back towards his usual level and it’s no surprise the team is winning with him doing so. If this exact game were played a month ago we lose 4-1 with a few questionable goals against. The most important thing for this team is Igor playing well. He doesn’t need to be Superman like last year but he needs to be very good which more often than not him and Halak were not for most of the season prior to this streak. Now if we can only fix Halak…
