Bye Jimmy. Aside from some garbage goals from in front, the guy was terrible at everything else.
I hoped for a bit more sexy return, maybe a reclamation project like Alex Nylander, but the market is flooded. Don’t think anything like that was on the table.
Hopefully Namestnikov is next.
Scoring 15-18 goals with the amount of minutes he played and amount of assists he had is absolutely not impressive.
Oh well, Buffalo's problem now.
He had to go
Who is next out the door ?
I’m not so sure about Kreider. Can we sign him and make the cap work? That would be huge. Even if it means adding prospects/picks to get rid of overpaid dmen.Namestnikov to Edmonton
Kreider to Colorado

He is 28. I think it’s important to keep a few NY veterans around and if we can have him at like 6,5 AAV*5 years I think we should do it. That would take him to 33, he should still be worth the money by then, taking cap rise into consideration.I am not willing to commit to a 29-year old Kreider, sorry

And if he takes less than 7 x $7MM, he has done whoever signs him an ENORMOUS favor. He will be 29 when his contract expires.
Smith to the buyout window per @bobbop.
