I think that there are a couple of different condos here

Someone can be married for a long time, get divorced and then remarried again and be "married" for a long combined time - even though both marriages are completely different

I think the circumstances surrounding Jets 2.0 are so opposite of 1.0 that it wouldn't be fair to compare the two of them, let alone lump them together. This version has invested ownership, an arena opened by the team, salary cap, etc...

I believe when it’s a brand new roster and the only connecting thread is Dancing Gave it’s a brand new team. Pretty much how it will feel when Perfetti or whoever is the youngest player on the roster is gone.
Chevy and the staff are gone.

But that's lunacy! It's like saying there's no connection between Jean Beliveau, Rocket Richard, Guy Lafleur, and the Montreal Canadiens, for heaven's sake.

Maybe it's time you show a little bit of respect for the history of the team. And I mean the history that those who were here witnessed, not the history that the league says we're allowed to claim as ours.
