2017-18 Winnipeg Jets currently:
17 games over real 500.

Records were made to be broken and I’m so happy to see us doing just that!

By the old points method prior to OT being introduced we'd have 99 points as of now.

43-19-13 ('17-'18) vs. 43-27-10 ('84-'85)

In addition there would be only 5 games remaining as it was an 80 game schedule in '84-'85.

Winning our last 5 games this season would give us 109 points, equal to that of the almighty Oilers.

Helle was a little twitchy until the 3rd and then he made the saves he needed to make.

Bucky was outstanding in the 3rd & in extra time. Also his best performance in the shootout.

Can't wait until the post season begins & the skills competition is over. I doubt shootout's will ever be his strength. He's positionally sound as opposed to being overly agile.

100% it all starts in net especially in the playoffs, he's quiet in net confident, a iffy goal doesn't bother him.

Just watching the replay of the game, Wheeler's goal is a perfect example how the Jets can benefit with Morrow in Enstrom's spot. He hammered that pass from Connor and did it quickly. Enstrom would never have made that play. Wheeler got the rebound, made a nice move and scored.

Not saying Enstrom playing well isn't wanted or you'd play Morrow over a healthy Enstrom but that play illustrated a strength of his.

Still banged up with 3 regular D men and 2 goalies out - but they are playing tbeir best hockey of the season lately.

All they need to do to peak for the playoffs is cut out the bad penalties. Come to think of it, would those calls be made in the playoffs?

O’Connor is starting to look a lot like Ehlers. Minus the neutral zone turnovers.
He’s finally figured out how to use his speed and his confidence is growing by the day.
When Roslovic matures and joins the team full time, imagine the tripidation that will live in the hearts of our opponents!

SO right. Iv'e been thinking the same for the last 3 games now they look like twins! Just keep your heads up boys cuz speed can kill even if it's you doing all the speeding.

I was referring to this guy, but considering they are seated next to each other they likely have the same media background.

I’ll post it again just in case. Looked through the old CKND pictures and he wasn’t in there. He may have been in radio/music as well. But im positive he’s former media in Winnipeg somewhere.
I thought maybe Joey Gregorish for a bit but that’s not him.

Great game tonight. Connor quite the two-way beast.

When Laine left the Jets bench I thought he was gone to get some dental work done from the stick job to his face. When he came back to the bench I noticed his beard was red and saw the big gash on his chin.

To help out with tonight's image trivia game, I am ugly Jets suit guy and the fellow on my right is the owner of the company at which I work. (edit: neither one of us has ever worked in the media)

I had a laugh reading through the thread, I actually got a penalty for knocking Stan Kubicek flying in a no-checking hockey game back in the 80's.

There was a funny post on the Colorado GDT last month, an Avalanche fan from Sweden referred to me and my brother as Winnipeg Suit Man and Homeless Camo Guy.

Every win is going to be so hard to come by in the playoffs but I think our team's one game at a time attitude through so many injuries has prepared us well. Everyone has stepped up and we have remained consistent.

I hope we finally win our first playoff game and our last playoff game as well (that is all I ask for )

The biggest difference I notice in the Jet's this year, is their poise and composure, and when they get 2 goals down, they don't give up, and fold their tent. Last year when they got down 2 goals, sometimes I wouldn't watch the rest of the game, because I thought they would get hosed, and they usually did.

This year, I have total confidence they can come back even if their down 2-3 goals, as I have great confidence in their scoring ability-so I watch til the bitter end, coz I know they can rally and come back, like they did against the Preds last night.

I have a "lot" of confidence in our excellent young prospects, that are really starting to come into their own !!!

Great to be back in the playoffs , that was a very good game that the refs tried to ruin . How do you miss a 4 minute penalty ? And i absolutely hate Subban and the weaselly game he plays . Truthfully i would hate him as a Jet , i hate dirty players like that but i hate dirty players that won't fight to back up their dirty play even more . He is a embarrassment and to think he is getting almost 10 millon a season is just a joke . He absolutely looks great in that YELLOW jersey , matches the stripe down his back . Great for Helly to pick up win #40 on the year , not a easy thing to do . Can't wait for the playoffs !!!

With that said it's a good illustration as to our memories. For a few seasons now I've noticed your owner in his seats well before the ugly suit & camouflage made appearances and had stated to friends that he looked familiar. Anyone I mentioned this to over the age of 40 agreed thought he was an ex broadcaster, in particular CKND.

Although I had certainly seen you & homeless camp guy in the stands recently, tonight was the first time I noticed you sitting with the fellow I had thought was the ex-broadcaster, so when Mud Turtle first mentioned this I thought he'd erred with the photo he posted.

Anyways glad you enjoyed the game. I'll spare you my own experience with Stan Kubicek. I'll only say that it involves his hit single "Tulsa Time" & him being at Cowboys one night.

A lot of ex-Thrasher fans became Preds fans after the team left. I think a lot of ex-Thrasher fans have a ton of hate for how successful the Winnipeg Jets franchise has become.

That was quite a game. Started out looking like we were going to have another dominant game. Then the stupid penalties hit. But, once the boys got their feet back under them, they did come pretty close to domination the rest of the way. Great comeback win!

Helle was our weakest player - and he wasn't bad. Just not as good as usual.

I'm warming up to Morrow, although that may just be the effect of playing with Buff. But he reminds me a bit of Postma, only better in the D zone.

Connor is on fire. Clearly gaining a lot of confidence.

Kyle Connor always plays his most productive hockey after Christmas or at least that has been the drill the last three seasons.

Joe Morrow...where did THAT come from? other than some passes that seem to 1,2 or 3-hop it to their targets, he looked really solid. again, I said that about Joe f***ing Morrow. who would have thought.
Benny C looked good as well.
Kudos to Myers. played with some great fire for the entire game. even though we let in 4 goals, the D somehow looked all-around solid tonight.
