Ugly win but 2 points is 2 points. Goaltending finally showed up tonight.

Yup

We were the fifth best possession team in the NHL at even strength (or so they said on illegal curve) heading into last might with a 1-3 record because of poor goaltending and a bad PK. If anyone deserved to goalie a desperate Oiler team in their own building it was this version of the Jets. Pretty big result for us last night.

He wasn't used there last year as well. Bones wanted size out there to close out the point (pretty much stated that last year when he qoukd routinely not use Cole or Fly late). He then went vet heavy in OT. I absolutely hate how conservative he is in certain situations. He coaches not to lose to a larger extreme than Maurice did.

This is one of the things that drove Dallas fans nuts. He’s almost 70 so what we see is what we get now. Last night things worked so I am happy this morning despite it.

It's been just over 1 season for Bowness, and we made the playoffs when alot of people said we wouldn't. I'm willing to give him some leeway, for now anyway.
