Getting ready for the flaming...... I thought Hendricks was good last night. He worked really well with Copp especially. Smart plays, pretty good passing, just basic smart hockey for a fourth line.

Magic number for 1st in the division is 16 points...or 15 maybe with the tie-breaker (Jets have 4 more ROW).I know some people were worried so I'll post it ... Jets magic number is 5 points to clinch playoff spot.
Type of game you got to get in and get your points and get the heck out of dodge. Same thing against Anaheim. Got to get those points and not look to that Vegas game.
The Kings are 2nd last in the league in shot generation this year. Nice to keep them under 20 shots, but they kinda suck.It looked like a very different Jets game last night. They must have brought someone in to talk defense. Although we played the Kings game, got slowed and engaged in too many board battles, and chip n chase. Kings are one of the few teams where you do want to open it up a bit. The few times we skated, they were left in the dust. All in all, Im ok with it though. Maurice says its about prepping for the playoffs.......and I think thats what we saw.
Ya, they are inexplicably bad.The Kings are 2nd last in the league in shot generation this year. Nice to keep them under 20 shots, but they kinda suck.
I have an explanation. They are old, slow and coached by Willie Desjardins. Not exactly a recipe for success in today’s NHL.Ya, they are inexplicably bad.
They should be bad. But not nearly this bad imo. I think thats a group that quit......months ago.I have an explanation. They are old, slow and coached by Willie Desjardins. Not exactly a recipe for success in today’s NHL.
They really have no talent outside of Kopitar and Doughty. This is a bottom tier roster. They should be bad. But not nearly this bad imo. I think thats a group that quit......months ago.
**** it, I'll say it.
Gramps looked right in place out there tonight.
Hendricks playing solid hockey is kind of like a big fat bumblebee flying.**** it, I'll say it.
Gramps looked right in place out there tonight.
Got the 2 points but LA is just going through the motions right now waiting for the season to end . We still aren't hitting and skating like we can , not complaining but i actually would rather us play teams fighting for playoffs , games like this can create bad habits . The Ducks today , another team going through the motions , let's get the win tonight again boys .![]()
He was good. Just plain good.
Against the Kings, who are mostly in his age group.
If more Jets would confine themselves to simple, smart games like Gramps, we would be much better off. I don't think Gramps can do that against younger, faster teams though.
For all those clamouring for Morrow over Beaulieu, in what world did Morrow ever take those assignments and toi? He had some rough turnovers and out a few too many muffins at the net (he has very good shot actually), but outside of the typical big event stuff he was fine. Morrow on that top pairing would get pummeled. Neither play when the team is healthy regardless.
Not sure how the Jets get criticized so much for their neutral zone play when it was clear as day that the Kings game plan was to slow them down between the blue lines at all costs.
Pretty much resembled this to everyone other than the refs
Good win to keep things rolling after beating two of the top teams in the league. Starting the road trip off with a win keeps them looser.
Agreed, this is the type of game to get him some playing time, but I think there's only 3 or 4 teams in the league I'd put him in the lineup against and the Kings were one of them. The Ducks are actually another, but we'll see if Roslovic goes back in.
I think they want Hellebuyck to play on Saturday vs. the Preds. Hellebuyck tomorrow, Brossoit Thursday, Hellebuyck Friday.I wouldn't be surprised if Brossoit gets the Ducks game and they save Helly for Vegas . Gets Brossoit another game and rests Helly for Vegas .
