Thanks @kanadalainen for the completely kanadalainen-esque GDT! Let's hope the cold weather today will make the Flyers want to get this game over with and get out of town as quickly as possible. Hell after the chill I got today, I may just join them...

There was no morning skate today which proves to me that the Jets are doing nothing seriously to address their on ice problems such as puck management, defence and communication. There should be no excuse of fatigue for they been playing an average of 20 minutes of hockey every other day.
That's what it proves to you?

Wow. Amazing how you manage to read that into that.

It doesn't prove anything to me, other than the fact that the Jets are yet one more team in the NHL that sometimes abandons the morning skate.

Morning skates are glorified warm ups. I wouldn't read anything into it. Their issues haven't been systems it's been effort and execution.

The 5 worst forwards in the league in this season RelTM xGF%

Bottom 5 worst seasons by any Jet forward in all 12 years of Jets 2.0 in this metric:

Maenalanen was slow to start, then seemed to be really putting it together and was trending upwards quickly in those numbers. Seems like he lost his momentum though after being injured, hasn't found his way back to where he was.

AJF is also on a stretch of really strong (relatively) games if I remember right. Feels like these decisions are being made on a whim.

The coach has Saku for some reason (we all know what) penciled into the lineup and not a part of the rotation. Even before he got hurt, he was not a part of the bottom-6 rotation that was happening. AJF is not world beater but atleast the Jets haven't been cratered into oblivion with him on the ice. At the very least he needs to be part of of the group of guys that is rotating in and out if not entirely watching the games from the PB for a bit.

Top 6 better produce tonight.
50-50 lol

There’s already some good positive energy for hockey night in Canada. We don’t have to watch the leafs pregame show as they are not playing tonight. I’m sure the whole panel is probably whining and irritable because of this.

I just don't get why BLK seems to be set in stone when they go top 6 bottom 6, and Saku is untouchable lately. Lowry hasn't scored in 4 years. (You're welcome for the goal tonight btw).

No reason they can't mix up the bottom 6 too outside 1 position.
Lowry has always been that way.he will have a little offensive spurt every two months and then disappear for another 2offensively.

I am mostly OK with that 3rd line because I am sure if he changes that 3rd, he in his infinite wisdom is gonna put Saku up there with Barron/Lowry and instead of being cratered for ~7-8 mins a night against easier competition, we're gonna be cratered 12-13 mins a night against tougher comps that can actually finish their chances. I have zero faith in him trying something that might work with that 3rd line so am mostly content with "damage-limitation" with Kuhlman as Bowness can easily make it worse.
