Comie had an injury last season that pushed him back in the draft.

I was over the moon when the Jets picked him, thought he was the best 'tender in the draft.

JC Lipon is looking really good out there. I think St. John's is going to love him this season. Nice offensive instincts and not afraid to mix it up or throw hits.

The one guy I haven't really noticed yet is Lowry.

People sure like to dump on Sutter but he was taking a beating on the 1st powerplay for a good solid minute. Some one has to do the dirty work and he sure doesn't mind doing it

I wouldn't have much of an issue with Sutter if he was a 3rd to 5th round pick - as a second round pick, I expect a bit more from his game. He definitely did work the "tough" areas on that PP though - I'll agree with that.

Not at all a fan of picking a goalie in the first two rounds. History shows just how much of a crap shoot it really is. However, I didn't mind the Comrie pick.

Must have missed his giant hit and a few power moves to the front of the net. He's looked good.

Some other thoughts on players

Kosmo - really impressing me. Seen him a few times in the OHL so I know what he brings but his skill level is so high right now.

Lowry - Just a big wrecking ball and monster to handle down low. Needs some time in the AHL but once he gets the pro game worked out we have a gem here

Lipon - The small wrecking ball. Works his butt off and never backs down. Going to compete in the AHL at the very least

Comrie - Just a steady period. Good rebound control. Great value pick
