I think it's time to start a main board thread.

"Winnipeg Jets GDT's are here to burn down your village."

"Winnipeg Jets GDT's are good."

"Winnipeg Jets GDT's quietly roaring back."

I've been thinking about this -- might be fun to have a main board "best of" GDT playoff to run alongside the real thing. I'd put Z5GG in the "elite/contendah" category for sure, with more than an outside chance to make the last round of the dance.

5-2 Jets
Pedal to the metal.
Need to send a message to all Western Conference teams

Did some googlin' and that's correct, the channel was actually out of Pembina ND until 1975 and called KCND, it was mostly intended for the Winnipeg market and broadcasting from there was a way to avoid CRTC rules (ie more American content). That was apparently a common practice, having border stations that would broadcast into Canadian cities. Pretty sneaky eh?

Yes KCND. Izzy Asper eventually bought it and moved it up to Winnipeg and it became CKND. The start of his media empire that is now Global.
This cartoon is going way back to KCND days. Does anyone remember it? It’s fuzzy but I remember watching it when I was very small.

Fun fact: I grew up in Pembina ND, then moved to Winnipeg in 1975. (grade one) Jets fan ever since.

CKND/KCND was a block from my house in little Pembina ND....CKND basically followed me to Winnipeg in '75.

Now live in the Twin Cities. Two favorite teams: Jets, and whoever is playing the Wild.

Remember Lee Crouch KCND lol

As a kid I always wanted t0 see bugs bunny but usually had to settle for Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Hopefully I don’t have to settle for something less than a clean win this evening.

Also I hope no one feels the need to say Ruh-Roh tonight.

Go jets go

"Jets offense is so deep, that even James Cameron couldn't reach it." - Hobble

I thought this comment from the main board was extra perfect seeing our boys love for the Titanic song

He’s much better when you get cut.
Feels like your buddy is talking to you.
All that’s missing is the hot, bad breath
