Gibson was the best player on the ice.. cant expect that every night but aslong as the youngins continue to score I have no problem losing games 3-4, 4-5 etc.

game is over in the first 10 minutes if he doesn't make those saves. He was MVP elite.

Our team defense looked bad, we got lucky to have a lead at the end of the first. Probability of that happening again is very low.

Loved what I saw out MacT, he definitely has timing to be a big strong net presence.

I hope we keep those defense pairings Fowler/Manson & Lindholm/Drysdale... maybe on the road sub out drysdale for anyone not named Shattercrap, who should play only shelted minutes at best.

Shattenkirk played the fewest minutes of all of the D last night.

Agreed with all this. Getz led the team on SOG. Hazy said he ASKED to be placed in the circles on the PP so he could be the triggerman. Crazy. And Pateryn looked perfectly fine to me, I didn't notice him making any mistakes.

Pateryn had one play where he nonchalantly slow played a puck in front of the net and got beat by a Jets player, it looked like the guy on the Jets was in his blind spot or something he didn't react at all until he lost the puck. Other than that I didn't notice him which isnt the worst thing for a bottom pair defender.

Yeah, a controller disconnect moment.

Lindholm is absolutely a #1 on a contender. His problem is staying in the lineup. He’s the best defensive dman in the league when he’s in there. He negates so much offense and the stats with him in vs out are obvious and overwhelming
There isnt a dmen in the league i want protecting a league over lindholm.

It's a shame how Lindholm gets underappreciated here. Sportsnet.ca wrote an article about Lindholm in April of 2016, meaning the 2015-16 season where Lindholm played as a 22 year old. The title of that article is How Anaheim's Lindholm is Changing the Way We Judge D-men, which pertains to advanced metrics. Here's another article on Lindholm by The Hockey Writers written in Aug of 2017 titled, Hampus Lindholm: the NHL's Most Underrated Defenseman, which identifies neutral zone drivers. The genesis of THW article is another sportsnet article titled The Modern Day Defenseman's Role as a Neutral Zone Play Driver.

Magnus is already one of the best defensemen in the league, but because he doesn't score a lot of points he is treated like #2 defenseman? Yet, those same fans think Drysdale will be a #1D? I don't think Drysdale will ever be the shutdown defenseman that Lindholm is.

In those 18 games played with Lindholm in the lineup, Manson only played in two games and one period. That's downright crazy how much Lindholm affects the game. But let's look at those 15 games played without Lindholm because Manson participated in four of those games.

For those bashing on Manson, in those four games he participated in without Lindholm, Manson showed he can carry the load too. But without both Lindholm and Manson, the team is far worse.
