Jets to Release Qb Aaron Rodgers

Brady began skipping OTAs in New England in 2018 so he could spend more time with his family. And I'm guessing most players don't care what the reason is when you're skipping camps to run around on a beach for a couple weeks.
You don't think teammates differentiate between planning a beach vacation during training camp and going through a divorce?

They all have their own issues to deal with. If the team captain and leader is lounging on the beach with his kids for nearly two weeks while skipping OTAs because of issues with his wife, no, I don't think they really would care what the reason is. Though, Brady (and Rodgers) has also earned the right to make that kind of decision.

Skipping OTAs is not what makes Aaron Rodgers unprofessional. It is not good, but he kind of earned it... like Brady did (not on the same level, let's be clear). Doing it on a new team is kinda dumb though. Especially when you pretend to be committed to winning, which Aaron Rodgers isn't. He is committed to Aaron Rodgers.

His attention-seeking and drama queen ways are what make him unprofessional - people were up in arms about Kaepernick kneeing for the national anthem and were saying to keep politics out of sports, which is fair, but Aaron Rodgers became a HUGE distraction when he decided to become a, dumb, social/political commentator.

Not to mention that the guy throws teammates and coaches under the bus all the time. No accountability. That is more bad leadership than a lack of professionalism though.

A consumate professional and a good teammate, he is not. A supremely talented QB? Yeah, that, he was.

Rodgers is still a good QB. I have zero doubt that the Steelers will be a playoff team with him, possibly a division winner.

And they'll lose by 30 in the wildcard round like always.

The Steelers aren't good enough to survive a 42 year-old QB who thinks exclusively of himself...and as someone with multiple autoimmune disorders I want to punch that moronic f***ing asshole square in his dipshit face.

By all accounts hes always been a good locker room guy and universally liked by his team mates.

On hands and knees begging the Vikings to sign him and they said no, as expected. I love it.

That was never an option.

It will only be an option if he's still hanging around unsigned in the summer and McCarthy either gets hurt again or looks like Akili Smith.

I think he is waiting for exactly that. He wants a ready made team to just step into and play.

He doesn't want to have to go to OTAs or even training camp.

Also it was not posted here but Cam Heyward isn't a big fan of darkness retreats and wants Rodgers to give a simple answer instead of playing his mind games. "Do you want to be a Steeler, yes or no"

Ofc given that it's Rodgers he'll probably find some long winded non-answer

Steelers soap opera has already begun and he's not even signed yet

The correct answer is that Aaron Rodgers will set aside a special time on the McAfee "progrum" next Tuesday to "announce" that he is signing with Pittsburgh  Way to draw attention to yourself, bud.
