Jets to Release Qb Aaron Rodgers

Actually he fits right in with the culture of doing whatever the hell he wants while Tomlin looks the other way and whistles
He did this for AB but got fed up with it

I'm not sure Aaron would fit in, Aaron is just in it for himself. Would he demand the Steelers trade for Adams lmao.

"Hire HAckett to replace Arthur Smith or I quit."

He also did it for Pickens last year.

The standard is the standard, and the standard is as long as you have a winning season, playoffs don’t matter.

If this utter moron signs with the Steelers I'll be sitting the season out and hoping for a Jets-level trainwreck.

The only positive aspect to signing Rodgers is that if anyone could break Tomlin's bullshit no losing seasons schtick, it's Rodgers. This franchise needs to be shaken out of its bullshit complacency so damn bad. Playoffs matter, Art II, you complete f***ing idiot.

Oh, I think the Rooneys are chasing some other glory besides a Super Bowl....if they can get Tomlin 30 seasons of winning, they will. They might even be thinking they have enough, let other teams get one to grow the sport.

Rodgers is still a good QB. I have zero doubt that the Steelers will be a playoff team with him, possibly a division winner.

Granted he is 42, but I have seen a lot of people say that the 2nd year after his injury is when guys actually bounce back, as much as I would prefer to avoid the circus, I feel like he is primed for a good season and could bounce back, maybe not to his MVP level, but better than he showed last year. Is it worth all the baggage and bullshit that comes along with it? That remains to be seen

As is he was top 10 in multiple stats last year including yards, completions and touchdowns. The "baggage" stuff is overstated, by all accounts hes a consummate pro and well liked by his team mates. Steelers could be a lot worse than bringing him for a year.

He was never a top10 QB, for blind stat watching the stats look ”great”

He was painfully slow, took a lot of bad sacks, had zero late game drives to win the game

Aaron Rodgers is a lot of things, but a person who acts professionally is not one of them.

Consummate pros don't skip training camp to go on vacation
After an 11-day hiatus from training camp earlier this month for personal reasons, quarterback Tom Brady returned to Buccaneers practice this week. So what was Brady doing during his time off? He was reportedly vacationing in the Bahamas with his family while his team continued their preparation for the upcoming season.

Not defending Rodgers at all, but I believe that happens more than you'd think. At least with proven vets...

-This was like a month before his divorce. Pretty sure he was actually dealing with personal stuff and didn't just decide to f*** off and skip work to enjoy a beach vacation.
-He took a huge step back after doing this.

Brady began skipping OTAs in New England in 2018 so he could spend more time with his family. And I'm guessing most players don't care what the reason is when you're skipping camps to run around on a beach for a couple weeks.
