zero chance san fran signs him imo. theres no way they’re replacing purdy, a guy who exists to essentially be shanahan’s avatar, with a guy who only wants to run specific plays in a specific system

i could see raiders because raiders. cant really think of another spot at this point. cant imagine tomlin wanting to deal with him.

I think it's just people being funny about Rodgers taking the Favre track from GB to the Jets and then to Vikings, I don't think they actually believe it'll happen.

That's what I thought the first couple times I saw it. But I feel like I've seen it dozens of times in several different places on the internet. I didn't think it was funny enough to warrant that kind of frequency

Why do people keep thinking he's going to Minnesota?

Why would they do anything other than give McCarthy his shot?

If I had to make a prediction the Vikings QB room next year is McCarthy, Daniel Jones, and Nick Mullens/Brett Rypien.

If McCarthy isn't the starter week 1 I'd say Darnold on a short term team friendly deal, Jones, or even Stafford are all far more likely than Rodgers.

The right move

People will point to his stats as an excuse but he was garbage. Painfully slow and that locker room needs a breath of fresh air. Mr R was throwing everyone left and right under the bus and his body language was absolutely terrible on the field

Just not worth it anymore

He really wasn't. Your're just letting your personal/political view of him get in the way.

QB play didn't sink the jets last year and wasn't why they were a bad team. They had issues in virtually every single facet of the game. Jet's also led the league in drops. Rodgers put the ball on receivers many times only for them to be dropped.

Him going on Pat Macafee/podcasts and talking about non-football shit and airing out team details is annoying, and idk if it's worth it to sign him for that at this point but he did have some game left in him.

No I’m not

He’s still living with his past reputation way too much and every damm time gets all the excuses in the World

He himself went again last year on media and said how everyone needs to be 100% about winning and immediately he himself did everything not related to winning and often every single week

Anyone who watched him last season saw how painfully slow he was. He made zero last seconds game winning drives, most often those last drives ended with Rodgers taking a big sack. He was playing safe football to protect himself and not make his stats looks as bad vs playing winning football

Anyone who watched him this season saw how bad his body language was, always blaming someone else, that’s not what the best leaders do, they take the blame themselves even if/when they knew it wasn’t on them. Rodgers made it always about someone else than him. All the vibes on that Jets team were rubbish and it starts from your leadership

Rodgers sure can play some but he’s not a difference maker

I saw a stat with the Jets and Packers and they both had better stats without Rodgers than with Rodgers the last 3 years. But it’s always someone else. The Gm, the coach, the owner, the Wr, the Oline. That’s not a winning QB

Rodgers just isn’t worth the drama anymore, he carries a too big of a luggage with him. When he was winning MVP’s you could deal with it, not anymore when he’s at best top 15-20 QB in the league
