Excellent game.

That 1st goal made me mad though: Luoto had an excellent shot and hit the pipes, but after that both of Spicy Potato pair decided to hang high, and Milkman had a free breakaway which he did use beautifully. I agree that either Potato or Spice should have pressured Milkman, but not both, not even in a beer league. Fortunately Dell gave up a freebie for Gus (congrats!), and the rest of the game went pretty smooth.

I think I will call Sbisa & Bitetto "French fries" pair from now on.

Yes, both clueless on that goal.

Really, I'm having a hard time imagining Niku whiffing on a play that badly, and a real hard time imagining him getting any ice time afterward.

That said, Sbisa has been getting results on the PK.

Yup and to be fair, Bitetto is usually having a good defensive awareness. Also maybe in this case, Sbisa should have been lower as if I recall it correctly, it was Bitetto who pressured M. Karlsson.

That was a very good road win. I thought Pionk and Kulikov had a very strong game, Kulikov sure made some nice passes tonight. And was a physical presence. Morrissey and Poolman were strong too, our top 4 probably played above the star studded Sharks defense tonight. Top line was dialed in. That 1st PP goal was a game changer, it was nice to see the traditional PP unit get some looks, and Laine making a nice read on the PP to find the seam. Can't say enough about Lowry and Copp, probably the best value for a defensive duo in the NHL. Congrats to Gus on the 1st goal of his NHL career, made a nice power move to give himself the open ice. Much better 4th line game, making the difference. Nice to see Kane get beat on the 4th goal by the draft pick he was traded for. Very impressed with our spacing tonight, to make breakouts.

The officiating was suspect, lots of mystery calls, but I think their mandate was to be a factor in the game. Perseverance overcomes all obstacles, said one Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Does anyone know the jets record with Wheeler at C? Including the time he filled in for Scheifele. I think it’s really good.

Wheeler may not be a great C in the eyes of many here, but this team has performed very well with him as a C. Keep him there.

This team has a ton of balance with him on the second line. It provides the Jets two bona fide scoring lines.

What a fun game to watch... I went through the US feed highlights, which is very much like NHL.com, which shows most of the high danger chances for both sides. It was jaw-dropping how many looks Shuffles had.

Love to see the old PP magic, too!

Super happy for Gus.

Beating a hot team is always a good feel.
It was great *not* to have a clenchmaster 9000 work out in the third period. Helle is in a groove, was amazing at rebound recovery.

One half of a Dostoevsky guy (a Chekov) for the first Sharks' goal.

Oops..., a Chekov guy:

What a great road win against a very good and very hot team right now . PK was fantastic and the PP looked better as well . When Roslovic , Ehlers and Connor are all going we are a very fast and agile team . Sbisa is playing very good for a guy that basically didn't play all season last season in the NHL . Congratulations to Gus on his first goal ever . :thumbu:

What a fantastic game! I’m not going to complain about anythig when we just beat the red hot Sharks in their own barn. This was a real team effort and although I’m not a fan of his coaching, one has to give credit to Maurice for this game. The team played with structure and were dialed in from the start. The Sharks had their hands full and couldn’t cope with the talent on this team.

Great game by the wheeler line. Not sure if I would be trading Roslovic right now. He is only starting to show his full potential and I don’t think his trading stock would show that. We would be selling low right now.

Congrats to BINGBING WANG

True story: in my grade 10 year, there was a young man in our class named Luong Dong. And one day, when the PA crackled in and said "would Luong Dong please come to the office", ten boys in my class stood up, hitched up their belt, and tried to walk out the door. Our math teacher was not impressed. I can only imagine how long they had been planning that.

This is why class clowns are important :P

Lots of empty seats for a red hot team. So many high profile free agent signings there. Good to see a draft and develop team victorious.

Maybe a market like Winnipeg can get the draft one of these years...

That was a really good game by the Jets. I am fast becoming a big fan of Pionk. Which brings up a question. Were Ranger fans wrong , has Pionk' s play matured, is the system better suited to him, is it the team around him is that much better or more likely , a combination of all of the previous ?

I think it's just a question of usage. Pionk was asked to play top pair for a bad Rangers team with a partner that also wasn't up to the challenge. Easier to blame a guy named Pionk than a guy named Staal. Too much, too soon for the young guy.

I'm not sure about the system because I don't know enough about the Rags to compare.

In Winnipeg he's been managed better is a short version I think.

Maybe the $11 was for his offence and the $.5 was for the defence.
I think he's a heck of a good player, obviously better offensively than defensively. I would take that trade off any day. His injury(s) give me some pause, but I hope he plays as well in the future as he did in the past because it's just fun to watch

We will let their accountants figure out that 500k discrepancy
