i don’t trust a single word that comes out of Green’s mouth moving forward when it comes to injuries.

It's honestly become a real problem with this coach. I don't need to know the nature or severity of any particular injury but for crying out loud be honest about timelines for return.

With Ullmark he made it sound like a minor thing and he then missed a month and a half. Pinto went from day-to-day to being out for three weeks now. Norris was supposedly good to go today now he's out, and who the hell knows how bad Brady is injured but he's about to miss a full week.

There's no reason whatsoever to be this misleading. Other teams are more forthcoming and I doubt it's ever affected them negatively.

They are 15 wins from a playoff spot and you’re saying the mountain is getting bigger - holy shit dude afyer all this fanbase has been through and we are 15 Wins form the playoffs and 31 wins from a Cup and you’re seeing doom.

Ottawa will make the playoffs 100% guaranteed - sucks to be a Sens fan that looks at Detroit or Montreal and thinks they are better then us no matter what our current circumstances are

You're starting to sound delusional.

Not like I want them to lose.

Norris not in now according to the article posted above. Yesterday they said they expected him to play tonight against the Jets. Good lord.

Not looking good.
I guess the team also agrees this is a scheduled loss, with or without him, so give him until Saturday against an easier team.

I know, but you have a negative mindset and you should be behind the players, especially after how hard they have fought all year, jumping ship when it’s the most fun time of year is what bandwagon fans do. And bandwagon fans arent real Sens fans

Buddy I was here throughout the entire Dorion/Melnyk regime and I'm still going. They should put ME in the Ring of Honour.

And frankly I think quite a few of our players could be fighting a little harder. Inconsistency has been a real problem.

This all really grinds my gears.

Beyond just having a reasonable expectation of injury timelines, I really need to know:

When does management think a game is a must win for this team? I'm not getting a sense that they think we're there yet, when we:

- are out of a wildcard spot
- are in a 3 way tie with NYR and Boston (thank god we have games in hand on both)
- are 2 points out of WC2, 4 points out of WC1, and 8 pts out of 3rd in the Division
- have 2 other teams chasing us within 3 points
- have currently 4 key players out of the lineup

For me, must win games started 4 games ago on our Florida trip.

The game against Montreal was a must win.

And I simply am not seeing that sense of urgency from Management, all the way down to the players still on the Roster. And boy is this starting to really piss me off.

25 games to go. Are we still going to be wondering about this at the 20 game mark? 15 games?

I hate this stupid 11 F 7 D strat, it's never actually effective.
The dumbest f***ing thing - we have no cap to call anyone up.

I am all for some hope and not just giving up, but I don't need to delude myself with unreasonable optimism. I'd say the deck is currently stacked against them getting in, and they need to really buck up and look like a different team than they have lately, or they will definitely be missing out. Ullmark needs to be at the forefront of that immediate improvement. Hard to feel optimistic atm.

Ullmark needs to be sharp, but IMO the bigger issue are the players in front of him right now.

We barely generated anything against Montreal FFS. Lazy play, bad passes, bad decision making... All killed us in that game. It's impossible to win if the team keeps this up.

I don't disagree, but with the personnel available, I think Ullmark is gonna need to save them a bit here to even give them a chance.

Last time I was this nervous about Linus he came through with the best goaltending this team has ever seen.

And these matchups of top goalie vs top goalie always bring out the best in these guys, I expect Linus to return to form and be excellent Thursday
Wednesday, not Thursday.

You can always play 1D as a 4th line F and it will make absolutely no difference!

That reminds me of something I've been wondering lately.
Are there any NHLers who play both forward and defense?
There used to be a few - Bob Gainey; Wendel Clark.

Okay, I'm not talking about a mid-career change, but someone who's played in both positions possibly in the same game.

Sens have an injury problem, every year it's the same thing, our top players can't stay healthy especially Pinto and Norris, we all know the Sens record when Stutzle, Norris and Pinto are in the line-up, the problem is one of them is always injured. The line-up that we have right now will have a hard time beating the Sharks on Saturday. This team is in serious trouble, and the worst part is that I don't feel any urgency coming the coaching staff and the players. Right now I'm not feeling to enthusiastic about us making the playoffs.
