Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Probably for now, but his aggressiveness was one of his appealing traits, according to scouting reports. Easier to tone a player down than ramp them up if they are passive. NHL coaches are good at imposing discipline on players for unnecessary penalties.
An optimistic view for a player whose always taken an incredible amount of penalties.

Someone already said it but you'd think these coaches would have a word with Logan Stanley about discipline in that case.

He has 27 minutes this year 15 of which came on one penalty. Seems fine by me
So, 6 minor penalties in 32 games, or so. That doesn't seem like a big problem this year.

Pretty high for NCAA standards and he beats out his teammates by a wide margin.

I haven't looked in a couple of weeks, but what are Zhilkin and Wagner doing on the Moose? They seem to be dressing for games, but they've got 3 points between the two of them in 30+ games.

I think Wagner is adjusting to NA still and Zhilkin is just that guy that has all the tools and no scoring touch. Every time I see Zhilkin I just think he looks like a NHL player but he can't produce

He's been playing limited minutes on the fourth line to boot which doesn't help production.

But I agree he looks visibly good most games I watch but nothing comes of it.

To this point, I really feel like the Moose are desperately missing guys like Jeff Mallot on the ice and in the room. I know Toninato is a warrior and a great teammate, but the Moose seem to be doing an injustice to younger players, like Zhilkin, by not having more Mallot-type players. I get the kids have to learn on their own, but the development philosophy of the organization has been so deliberate that it is a bit perplexing why there hasnt been more insulating moves to have more veteran character guys.

They didn't bring in the correct or enough vets and it's showing this year.

I hope that this is rectified next season as we will be having Yager and some other prospects joining the team.

Jared Anderson Dolan was a good choice to replace Malott, but injuries are the name of the game this year.
Moose probably would have like to have given Zhilkin-Chibrikov some looks and I am not sure why they didn't more, maybe timing of injuries. Can't say Lucius has been healthy enough to develop any kind of chemistry with anyone. Lambert had the sophmore slump. Only Parker Ford made a big move forward this year, and he's the same age as some of the players signed as UFAs, just started later. The defense needed Coghlan from the start to have some leadership.

Di Vincentiis taking the net is a step forward in his development.

You hope it's kind of a one off year. Especially with the injuries.

Toninato probably sticks around as captain I'd believe. JAD will be back. I think Mason Shaw gets a contract. But maybe there's some changes after that.

Coghlan you hope comes back, he's been a good player in the #9 depth defenseman role.
