Prospect Info: Jets Prospects

Yeah, we have some two way balanced players in Yager and Salomonsson. Some middle 6 type offensive guys in Lambert, Barlow, Chibrikov and some decent depth at forward and in net.

We need to add a couple of real impact players to round out that pool. Going to be challenging where we are drafting from.
Our 6'6 6th rounder tearing up the OHL may have something to say about that in 5 years from now

Nice that Barlow is scoring, but I’d still use him as a trade chip. He hasn’t improved his skating and he won’t have the kind of time and space for releasing his shot in pro hockey that he’s still getting in junior.

Package him with a 1st and even Ville who’s not getting a real chance while Stanley’s here. See what you can get to help the team now.

I'm not against that, but who might the Jets get with a rich package? It has to be a 2C or a top-4 RD with term. Very few options out there for that.

I wonder if the Jets might go even bigger and package Ehlers or Perfetti and try for a bigger fish in the 1C type of category.

One big problem is that so many potential trade targets will have the Jets on their NTC list, and likely won't waive if they have term on their contracts.

I think this might be part of what Chevy was alluding to when he mentioned about the factor of what's actually available on the trade market.

Are you making fun of yourself with that awful take on Barlow earlier ?
No, making fun of the poster above who said since Musty has returned Walton has stopped putting up points because he’s no longer “the go to guy”.

As far as My take on Barlow goes, I’m not the only one that can see he’s plateaued since his draft year. He’s not a can’t miss prospect. I try to look at Jets prospects without rose coloured glasses on.Don’t have to fall in love with every prospect. Differing opinions are allowed.

Just an observation, not sure why it warrants being made fun of. Are you familiar with Musty?

Fellas, this is ProspectLand, not #TheStanleySaga -- it's supposed to be the fun thread, an antidote to the wrangling elsewhere...

Two games -- He's gotta learn, I guess. Nice plays from Yager and good to see Barlow heating up a bit. Agree with many here that his game needs rounding out in terms of skating and D-play -- don't see enough of him to know whether he's been working on those elements this season.

I have zero worries with Walton, though I recall a few knowledgeable posters noting that he hit a midseason slump last year, where he seemed disengaged. Doesn't seem to be the case yet this year, so here's hoping.

Thanks to @ICdave for the updates with highlights and to the others who do the serious watching for the rest of us!
