I watched the Denver / North Dakota game to have a look at our 2022 4th round draft pick Right D Garrett Brown. He was injured for most of last year and is a 5/6 D on a good Denver team.

He played a very fierce net front defense. Any poor sap attempting to spend any time in front of the net went back to the bench with sore ribs.

From my one game observation, big, tough, stay at home defenseman. Handled the puck reasonably well. At the moment I'll call him a player in the pipeline who will need to raise his game. I'll be cheering for him.

Max's draft year was pretty mediocre with 40 points in 64 games, but I'm a bit surprised the bloodlines didn't attract a late pick. Wonder if we see him in the Jets system in the Spring as a free agent signing.

(I see a cap circumvention opportunity with Max on a healthy AHL contract. 😁)
