Do you he asks to be traded? Because it's not like he went into the season with a roster spot, and the contract he was given was for a supplementary role.

No nothing about being traded. But I don't see him or his agent accepting a conditioning assignment to the Moose. There is not a lot of upside and a whole lot of downside there. He has a practically guaranteed roster spot by virtue of being waiver eligible.

Interesting. I would think just playing is an upside. He and Lambert I believe are pretty close friends on the team. 3 years with Lundmark. Lots of familiar faces. Game action is always better than practice, though there may be a point where you see Heinola and Fleury play some games in place of Stanley and Miller to give a different look, conceivably.

The upside is getting into games is so he looks better when he gets into a game in the NHL
He's a kid that only played half of last season (all in the AHL) and didn't even get a preseason with the Jets
You're only looking at it from a roster spot perspective, not a performance perspective. He'd be an idiot to not get 6 games under his belt before stepping into an NHL game where everyone around him is in mid-season form
I can't think of any reason that he wouldn't agree to it, it's a short stint to get his legs under him.
Yup, unlike Stanley he's not seen as an NHL regular at this point. Also a strong show in the AHL could get him noticed by other teams. I'm sure at this stage he just wants to catch on somewhere and showing he's back healthy and can play would benefit that.
Yager breaks out of his mini slump with a goal and an assit so far.

He's racked up nearly half the points he did last year in 25% of the time.
This doesn't include his hattrick tonight. Up to 16 goals, 12 assists, 28 points in 18 games.

What would be a good comparison to He projection wise + style wise? I assume his jump from D to D1 season isn't Happening that often

I've seen Mangiapane come up on the main boards which is a comp I like for several reasons. Both played/play in the O, later round draft picks, similar frame and to date similar scoring rates in D+1. Stylistically they also both play with a high motor, hard forecheckers and aren't scared to play physical. If He turns out anything like Mangiapane I'd be thrilled and could see being a fan favourite.
He's team was particularly poor past season, and that probably kept his production down last season. I don't think the team was expected to be good this season either, but He has really charged the team as an offensive sparkplug and team leader. A number of draftniks rated him higher than his draft position and the Jets obviously liked him, trading up to nab him.
Along with Freij and Walton, I think the Jets might have gotten three prospects that would now rate in the top three rounds, despite their lack of picks. He might look like a 1st rounder in a re-draft assessment by the end of this season if he keeps up this level of play.
Walton is also intriguing, leading his team in scoring as a skilled 6'6" forward. He has really good skills and offensive IQ. If he fills out his frame and adds more speed and maintains a consistent work ethic, he could be a bona fide NHL prospect.

Living 30 km from the Niagara rink and games on TV. He has really been that good this season. If the Ice Dogs can keep playing with confidence and continue to play well He will just keep developing and has the respect of his teammates.
Barlow is a traditional power forward and is playing on a much better team. Learning new systems and getting use to his new line mates. Oshawa has
Barlow Ritchie Sennecke one of the top lines in the CHL. These 3 will be hard to stop this season.
These prospects are gems and the Jets have some very decent young guns coming out of Junior
