For those who want to read our Q&A:

Or you can just watch it as Manitoba goalie coach Drew MacIntyre provides his insight into the duo:

I sure hope Dom DiVincentiis can bounce back from last year's mediocre season. I had such high hopes for him after 2022-23. What is happening to Colby Barlow? Seems his point production peaked in his draft year.

Pulled this off Elite Prospects, kind of some statistical evidence of how players in the system are perferoming this year. Have to separate players who are not part of the team, veterans and prospects, but a good idea of where the future is at.

Feel like Loponen is going to start putting up numbers soon when he's adjusted. Guy was impressive in the Finnish Junior Leagues. Was captain for his U18 team when he was 16, then captain of his U20 team at 17 and put up well over a point per game.

Freij is currently playing U20 games preparing for the World Juniors on the top pairing with Sandin-Pelikka, which is very promising.

I wonder if Loponen is on the radar for the Finnish junior team. Kid was impressive in the rookie camp, and going the junior leagues gives him time to adjust to North American style. Something the Jets wanted from Nikkanen when the Ice drafted him.

Promising news for Freij, for sure.

I count 19 goals in 8 games, with 6 of them coming from AHL contracts (Suess- 2, Empey, King, Liwicki and Anhorn- 1). Lambert has 1 PP goal during the year, so you know they would like to get him going.

Hopefully JAD, Coghlan, and a full time Lucius (if he gets to that point), help the scoring. Have to think the guys really struggling like Torgersson get moved at some point.

The bright spot for the Moose has to be Di Vincentiis, who is profiting more than anyone else from Kahkonen being waived.

Maybe the Moose take until the 2nd half of the season to find their rythym, like last year.

They could probably use an offensive minded guy on the back end to help jump start the offense. They pretty much have had AHL Allstars caliber offensive dmen up until this year.

I like Salomonsson but he's more a two way guy then a offensive play driver.

There's also the issue of LD in the system. Kuzmin is struggling. Lundmark was probably the best option but he's back on his strong side. Looks like Sauntner is the only mainstay on the left side for the Moose. I wonder what Freij and Salomonsson would look like as a d pairing, but those two may not be in the same development ark. Maybe you get to see Heinola and Salomonsson for 5 games.

I'm a little surprised the Jets haven't waived Coghlan yet. Giving Salomonsson a leadership role at 20 years old though is an endorsement for his future.

He won't be able to stay down for an indeterminate period, but he can be placed on the Moose for a conditioning stint without having to clear waivers. I can't imagine the Jets would just drop him into the lineup given he's been out for nearly two months.
I believe that's a max of 6 games? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
