Hoping North Dakota take both games against UMD this weekend. A tanking UMD will hopefully make Sambergs post season decision to join the Jets that much easier.
If there’s reluctance by Samberg to sign with the Jets we just may see him shipped off for the defensive upgrade we’re all hoping for.
That would be unfortunate because it would be great to see Samberg as part of the solution here as a Jets player.
Reality is guys are biding their time and picking and choosing where to sign. Adam Fox just did it. Our own Captain did it way back when.

I'd put good odds on this too. A signing bonus and a burned year on his ELC should have major appeal. The Jets depth chart should be appealing too. Unless he thinks the Jets will hinder his development or he has locational demands, the Jets should be the front runner by a wide margin.Samberg will be a Jet next season at the latest IMO.

Thanks.Found this:
"Samberg, a 2017 second-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets out of Hermantown, was run into the boards — no penalty called — with two minutes remaining in Saturday’s game [that's Saturday January 25th]. He returned to the ice as well with the net empty, but headed back to the bench in visible discomfort after taking a shot. He has skated this week but has not practiced with the team."
There, that's what I like to see. My boy Blaisdell sitting in the #1 spot in our skater prospect rankings. He's a beauty!
