I much prefer watching on TV but only because it is easier to skip through commercials and intermissions when watching on PVR. The Prime interface is not great for that purpose. I find the quality of the broadcast on Prime to be very good though.
I had no problems. An internet connection hiccup on your end could cause that.Anyone else have their Prime signal drop out last night?
Happened late in the 3rd during a timeout. Signal was becoming pixelated leading into the time out then dropped out all together for about 30 seconds before returning just before the puck was dropped. Final moments of the game for me had a slightly pixelated signal that would correct itself, buy then go blurry again.
The new TV deal Sportsnet just signed with the NHL means fewer Jets games on TSN.Ok Sportsnet please sell off allot of inventory to Prime because that was so much more enjoyable than the typical Canadian based broadcasts that need to genuflect to the big Canadian markets.
It's because Rogers Sportsnet is the Canadian broadcast rights holder who sold the game to Amazon...so it's for Canada only.I pay for Amazon Prime. I am in the US. I was blocked out from viewing the game - Amazon Prime gave me a message something like - not available in your viewing area. My choice was to sign up for that Fubo bullcrap. I absolutely hate the way the NHL is parsing out games here and there. I paid for ESPN+ and thankfully have been able to see most Jets games this year, but there have been a number of important games that I have wanted to watch and couldn't for whatever broadcaster reason.
I would love a one team (Jets of course), one streaming service and one fee model wherever you happen to live.I pay for Amazon Prime. I am in the US. Cheap version for one team, all games. More expensive version for all teams, all games.I would love a one team (Jets of course), one streaming service and one fee model wherever you happen to live.
Why do they have to make it so hard for people who are willing to pay for something?
It's so painful having to watch the Jets on Sportsnet. We get the worst play-by-play guys, who you can tell did zero research on the Jets prior to the broadcast.
You got 13 more years of SN before you can hope to lose them that muchIt'll be a matter of time that Amazon takes over. I give them 2-3 seasons where they get their own separate deal to Sportsnet with the same amount of games.
No problems at all, super stable stream.Anyone else have their Prime signal drop out last night?

TSN/SN both use stock photos/shots all the time. I work downtown on a fairly high floor so I know when there's snow on the roofs or not. I've seen them use photos during the playoffs when I've worn shorts to games that make it look like January. I'm guessing they use the drone 3-4 times a year and that's it.
Didn't see last nights broadcast but I'll echo for the only Amazon broadcast I did see. It was balanced and fair. I'm still not keen on yet another subscription service to get Jets games. I'm already paying for cable just for the sports. Ugh.
Also on Sawyer (shut up), yes, any day of SN.

But yes, Amazon did a good job this year. Seemed like kind of a pilot project to test the waters. I wonder what the ratings were like?

Here's the deal:Hope you're wrong about that. The teams will still want to be able to sell their local rights and I can barely watch SN. I mute the sound.
Here's the deal:
Asked how many more games fans can expect to be converted from regional to national, Watson said: “We have secured the right for up to 10 more games on certain teams, but it will be a season decision based on every season, based on matchups, so I can’t really give you quantified numbers.”Watson said Rogers will be able to convert all regional games for the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers, half for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and a few extra from the Winnipeg Jets and Ottawa Senators.![]()

They hate the Jets and we're probably not good for ratings, so < 10 I figure. But more than the current...
But they can tell you what Matthews had for breakfast......and what he excreted later in the day......It's so painful having to watch the Jets on Sportsnet. We get the worst play-by-play guys, who you can tell did zero research on the Jets prior to the broadcast.
Ironically the streaming system is moving ever closer to the artifact that was the broadcast system. Less useful, more ads, more expensive. The broadcast from Amazon itself was presumably more streamlined with less fluff than we get on broadcast, but how long before that changes too? That will probably come as it moves more and more to streaming. What we have is artifacts of the broadcast system.

When I hit retirement I may just opt for going entirely old school - handheld transistor radio with one really crappy headphone. Do they still sell 9V batteries? OB for the win!
Yes, happened to me too. Frustrating but such is the life dealing with streaming servicesAnyone else have their Prime signal drop out last night?
