Why does the NHL insist on lying about the start time of games?

The NFL says kickoff is at 1pm. Guess what time they kickoff? 1pm.

MLB says first pitch is at 707pm. Guess what time the first pitch is? 707pm

NHL says the game starts at 7pm. Puck drop? Between 710pm and 717pm on a good night.

well tanev was bound to get hurt, his style can't play 82 games a season, so better now than 5 games before the seasin

let's see how the defence is with the second goalie not playing

at this point i believe that the NHL says 7pm the program actually starts, like pre-game talk + warmups

they should just say 7:15-7:20 every game

Yes, it doesn't matter... I am just complaining to complain I guess, but there is no reason the pre-game stuff could not be done in a manner for puck drop to occur at say 707 or 705 religiously. I think I see some clouds... back in a minute.
