ehlers taking line rushes!
Damn, that to me indicates that he is in. He's with Cole and Lowry.
ehlers taking line rushes!
ThisI mean it's one thing to play tough PO hockey and getting more physical. However going headhunting after the best players of the other team to take them out and match their talent level should be acknowledged by the league and refs. They are clearly went after Scheifele and Morrissey.
The NHL want fighting and enforcing out of hockey? Then get proper officating. 2 min for that interference, blind side charge to the head?!
Wish we still had Buff around.
Toninato in ahead of Kupari, Gus and JAD... InterestingWow Ehlers in. Toninato getting the call for playoff heroics.

The league didn't want players policing themselves via enforcers and an unwritten code. Fine. But if you're going to take retribution out of the players' hands, then you need to step up and make sure that things don't get out of hand in your own way
Could you imagine someone running Gretz the way that Schenn hit Schief? That guy not only would have put a target on his back, but you know damn well that the next time Thomas or Kyrou touched the puck, they'd end up on a stretcher
I'm by no means a fight-loving dinosaur, but things aren't working the way they are today
Worked twice lol...There's a reason Mario had Ulf Samuelsson and Darius Kaspiritis added to his teams. Lindros got it bad in the worst era of hockey, without the two line pass, and predatory defensemen standing up on the blue line. Kariya. Crosby. Even Datsyuk took a lot of hits when he slowed down. It's not new to hockey. Gooning it up to win hasn't proven to work. Maybe the Kings in their runs, but you have to learn to protect yourself. Scheif's been really good at keeping his head up to avoid contact. He missed one, and you hope it doesn't change his game too much. Personally I am glad we have an honest team. Keeps the integrity in the game.
Toninato in ahead of Kupari, Gus and JAD... Interesting
I like this line up
I have no idea what to make of itwhat's your take on this (Toni in)
I'm guessing they're still being careful with Rasmus. His concussion must have been quite seriousI have no idea what to make of it
The only thing I can come up with is that the Jets are looking to play fast, but then why not Kupari?
Toni isn't overly physical
Well that's on̈e perspective, how you feel on the many were he clearly leaves his feet should he answer for those. Most Kronwall hits were clean. You shouldn't have to fight for a clean hit. He would pivot and when most played would think he was going to skate back on that pivot they would put their head down and instead of moving back he would start coming up the ice and destroy them. Sure a rare time things would go wrong but two guys skating fast at each other and once in a while unfortunate things happen, that's the game.
What's frustrating is that walker and bolduc and schenn can do that stanley gets called for,was it last game that the st lou player came back at stanley, stanley on the refs orders left from evening up things in front of billington and only stanley got a penalty.Lowry needs to police this team, and any BS intimidation by other teams against our players, should be met with Lowry or Schenn or Stanley, punching them in the face 2 or 3 times, and they’ll get the message. Beat us fair and square, and not by goon tactics.
Same was done for Gretzky, when Semenko dealt immediately with anyone that tried to hurt him.
This is Lowry’s job, and he’s tough enough to handle anyone in the NHL
You don't have to answer for playing hockey. It's about the dumbest thing in the game at this point.Well that's on̈e perspective, how you feel on the many were he clearly leaves his feet should he answer for those.
Gary Suter was just fine after taking Gretzkey out. I think you are over romantasizing the way it was. There may have been a point in the 70s when it was that way. By the 80s it was just goons evening things up by fighting goons. This

That was during the 1991 Canada Cup... no enforcers there... which kinda proves my pointGary Suter was just fine after taking Gretzkey out. I think you are over romantasizing the way it was
He had no teammates in the NHL who cared when the season started. That was during the 1991 Canada Cup... no enforcers there... which kinda proves my point
