Injury Report: Jets health in the playoffs

Lowry needs to police this team, and any BS intimidation by other teams against our players, should be met with Lowry or Schenn or Stanley, punching them in the face 2 or 3 times, and they’ll get the message. Beat us fair and square, and not by goon tactics.

Same was done for Gretzky, when Semenko dealt immediately with anyone that tried to hurt him.

This is Lowry’s job, and he’s tough enough to handle anyone in the NHL

Remember when we wanted Dallas and Colorado playing each other so that the winner would be softened up for us?

Needed to have played a lot better in StL and then maybe this would not have happened.

Fair point.

St Louis had that solid run at the end of the year, so I never really expected a quick out - but getting demolished as they did in games 3+4 likely took a toll. They were physically abused in both those games.

I’ll be frustrated if they lose the series, because Chevy’s continued inability to address the centre depth rears its head again - but one can live with a loss after game 5.

The effort is there, and at the end of the day what can you ask for other than that. With 55 out, they are now clearly out skilled on offense.

If he misses any more time, you weren’t making it past round two anyway. Such is life.

Haha the guys already skating full speed in practice was this post srs or just trolling... Achilles injury he'd be in crutches

He's playing one of the hardest positions in the NHL and is continually one of our highest scorers every year. He isn't perfect, who is ? but he's one of our best players year after year.
I’m not a huge fan of how Scheifele comes across in the media but wow he’s the straw that stirs the Jets offensive drink
Him and Helle absolutely carry this team on their backs

Schief has committed his youth and nhl life to the Jets. He clearly cares about the city team and fans without excess lip service being required.
His actions speaks for itself.

He’s our #1 and our more important offence player, overall. He most certainly is not a “bum”. Him being out is a massive L and it should not be downplayed. It could be a series changing situation especially with how Jets played in St Louis games 3/4.

Flip side is can also rallying cry for the team.

@Jets 31 no need to lock in with troll accounts. Don't give them the breath to share their shit.

It is tempting

But you are right

You are correct but that pissed me off to read . One of our best players just gets hurt by a dirty hit and they call Scheifele a bum ? I don't and never will understand what trolls get out of saying shit like that.

When that bum went out i felt the team looked more locked in and suffocated the blues offense. We were hemmed in quite a bit in the first.. but outside of a soft goal in the second and late goal with the game out of reach st louis could generate nothing for most the second and third
Scheifele is a bum?!?!

Trolls have Power and Control issues: Disrupting conversations or manipulating group dynamics can give trolls a sense of dominance, especially if they feel powerless in other aspects of life. The way to not to reinforcement them is to ignore.
Also some Psychological Traits: Some trolls exhibit traits like sadism (enjoying others' distress) or low empathy, making it easier to ignore the harm they cause. Underlying frustration or anger may also drive their behavior. Again the way not to reinforce this is to ignore.

YEAH!!

I'm very gratefull (as a fan) for Scheifele and Helly for committing to the team long term, when it was those years when there were so many uncertainties.

They could have both easily have walked away.

Also props to JMO, KC, Lowry, and the rest of the gang... When other players don't want to come here...

They stayed.

and they have been the best team the last 2 years..

Yeah playoff, they lost it sucks.. But they achieved something that no other Jets team have done before... both as a team and some individual accolade..

GO JETS GO

It’s no different when Sportsnet makes a post on Facebook and all it is is fans from the opposing team littering with nothing but trash and negativity.

I mean it's one thing to play tough PO hockey and getting more physical. However going headhunting after the best players of the other team to take them out and match their talent level should be acknowledged by the league and refs. They are clearly went after Scheifele and Morrissey.

The NHL want fighting and enforcing out of hockey? Then get proper officating. 2 min for that interference, blind side charge to the head?!

Wish we still had Buff around.

Agreed. 55 drives this team. Perhaps some criticism was warranted during past mid season slumps, but that feels like a long time ago. He has always been a guy who elevates his game in the playoffs and certainly could have cashed in elsewhere if he had desired. No doubt he is an all time top 5 Jet.

That was the guy but never dropped the gloves to answer for it,and 90% of his hits he left his feet, calling Dave brown, domi and neely lol
Most Kronwall hits were clean. You shouldn't have to fight for a clean hit. He would pivot and when most played would think he was going to skate back on that pivot they would put their head down and instead of moving back he would start coming up the ice and destroy them. Sure a rare time things would go wrong but two guys skating fast at each other and once in a while unfortunate things happen, that's the game.

And ... who's 2C in Names' spot?
It's curious that they don't put Vilardi in as 1C. He's a "natural" c and takes faceoffs part time. I have to wonder if he just doesn't want to do it. Unless I misheard him I think he said that taking faceoffs are hard on his hips. I thought that was interesting.

Skating. No way he could match a Robert Thomas up and down the ice, below the goal line. Faceoffs are nice. I'd think he'd get the bulk of offensive zone draws now, especially on.the PP. Keep the best skaters in the middle though if you want to play good neutral zone hockey.

I don’t think you can get concussed twice. I think you’re either concussed or not concussed. Kind of like you’re either drunk or not drunk…you don’t get drunk twice at once.

That being said…I went to the same medical school as Jim Montgomery.

I don't think you can go on a bender without getting drunk multiple times. It's not just one drunk but multiple drunks with brief intermissions. Maybe you get into a suspended state of drunk, medically speaking.
