Injury Report: Jets health in the playoffs

I was just talking about ongoing acoustic sensitivities that I still have from two concussions within 5 months of each other in 2018
I don't expect to see Scheifele back in this series. I think he was pulled in the dressing room, that's why Scott came out firing at the refs.

Where would you put Ehlers in the lineup if he comes back in? Perfetti-Lowry-Ehlers?

It would be nice to close out the series next game and hope Scheif makes it back by the start of the next series or at least the 2nd game.
If it is a concussion from Schenn, he would have been looked at earlier than the end of the period, no?
If Ehlers doesn't play, Arnie will probably go...

KC Names Vilardi
Perfetti Lowry Iafallo
Nino Barron Apples
Tanev Gus JAD

Not sure if he keeps the same D or not.
Maybe change Stan for Fleury but I doubt it.
I'd play Miller and Stanley.

I'd go...
KC Names Iafallo
Perfetti Volare Nino
Barron Lowry Apples
Tanev Kup JAD

I think team may be better on the defensive end without shieff.. if u look at the analytics the top line was pretty meh during the regular season at 5 on 5.. all thier production was usually negated by poor defense.. power play will def take a step in the wrong direction.. but overall if the team focuses on shutting down st louis 2 or 3 goals may be enough

Put kupari on the third line he was more than serviceable filling in for Lowry during his absence earlier this season
I think Barron has to be ahead of Kupari on the depth chart at this point. There's a rythym you have that keeps you sharp. I'm not sure Kupari will have it, Vilardi still has to get up to speed, synchronize with his teammates, but he's not been out as long.

I like the idea of finishing this series with more speed coming into the lineup though.

If Ehlers knocks Iafallo down the lineup, I might suggest a 4th line of Tanev-Kupari-Iafallo, win the series on the strength of wingers, and if Kupari can play the middle of the ice with speed, and not have to worry as much about taking hits, he might be effective in transition. Also the faceoff circle.

For all schieffle production on offense he still had the second worst plus minus out of our top 9 forwards... the guy is effective scoring but still a liability most of the time.. especially on the road where it's hard to exploit match ups and shelter him on defense

When that bum went out i felt the team looked more locked in and suffocated the blues offense. We were hemmed in quite a bit in the first.. but outside of a soft goal in the second and late goal with the game out of reach st louis could generate nothing for most the second and third

Don't get me wrong I don't mind sheiff he been producing this series espscially at home but on the road I doubt we'll miss him much... on the road strong def and goal tending will be key

I don’t want to negate that I think St Louis was looking to injure, which they were - the message has been clear to target 55, and 44…

However…

Florida plays the same way. Washington has that element. The Kings cup teams were a bitch to play against for anyone, and primetime Anaheim with Pronger/Niedermayer were the same story.

You hope to avoid teams like this in the playoffs because even if you are to win, you are hobbling away. That was a similar story against Nashville years back for our own Jets.

You’re not going to necessarily beat teams like that at their own game, but Arniel has disappointed me in not ensuring Thomas/Kyrou aren’t feeling the same pain in turn. That’s something you can do, and that sends a stronger message to guys like Faksa, Schenn, or Toropchenko.

Remember when we wanted Dallas and Colorado playing each other so that the winner would be softened up for us?

Needed to have played a lot better in StL and then maybe this would not have happened.

Scheifele is a bum ??? You sir/miss are a dumbass .

I'd go

Connor nemo vilardi
Nino Lowry prefetti
Iaffalo kupari Appleton
Tanev barron jad
Kupari ahead of barron on what basis, Kupari goes around and around and doesn't see the front of the net,he would be exposed in st lou,and thinking shief isn't needed in st lou, what the Frick man.

Kupari can play C, so can Barron. So Gus or Kupari might come in.

We have to roll 4 lines like we did after 55 left. We can beat them playing the same way, shutting them down, being patient.

These are the hardest to close out but the pressure is on them.

People say shit like this all the time. The truth is the vast majority of playoff series are battles, that can flip on a whole variety of variables.
