Injury Report: Jets health in the playoffs

Who is on the black ace squad? There are usually quite a few as back up and for practice.

I know Lambert and Heinola are injured. Kupari is maybe ready but throwing a player who just had a concussion in might be tough.

Dylan Coghlan and Fleury are available. Mason Shaw is a fast 4th line guy who led the moose in goals.
Coghlan was the best D and overall one of the best players on the Moose with NHL experience.

We looked really gassed and injured last game. Pionk and jomo could barely skate. Schenn and Stan were slow, played physically but not effectively

Yeah, I think the combo of Vilardi, Ehlers, and DeMelo all out (two top-6 fwds and a top pairing D) really showed last night.

And then there’s the whole Schenn and Stanley thing… I understand the physicality that they each bring, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the trade off with their weaknesses when you are on the road because unlike at home you can’t choose your line matchups by sheltering their minutes. Also, can Schenn stop taking so many penalties?! My goodness last night looked like a repeat of last year vs. Colorado where we just couldn’t stay out of the box. Schenn seems good for a penalty per game on average, not a good thing in the playoffs. Especially when the other team is converting on their PP the way the blues have so far.

Agree that Schenn in particular is being exposed by the speed of the series — can’t shelter the pairing much further and might be time to slot in Miller/ Fleury to add some mobility and transition play. Penalties def harmful.

Any chance we can keep this thread on topic so we can come in here and you know, actually get health updates?

I'd love to hear if flu is actually running through the locker room right now.
Something is going around... I felt.all weak like I was fighting something off and my brother and his family had to cancel on a get together today

Agree on the Stan Schenn pair just being too slow and penalty prone. Fluery, Miller. Coghlan are all faster and more skilled. Plus fresh legs are noticeable when everyone is banged up.

Here's the official black ace squad: Parker Ford, Mason Shaw, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Brad Lambert, as well as three defensemen: Elias Salomonsson, Dylan Coghlan, and Isaak Phillips.

I'm assuming DeMelo is back, so Miller being on the 3rd pair, with Fluery would be good. Another reason is that Morrissey and Pionk were noticably banged up last game. Not skating 100. If they aren't 100, I'd rather have a skilled and fast bottom pair option than slow and low skill guys.

We don't have a big tough team, we're going to win on speed and transition

St Louis would run Fleury and and Coghlan out of the building

Hopefully he comes back soon, and isn’t being rushed. Last thing we need is him taking a few hits during Blues’ first period pressure, then have him injured again.
If he is playing then I doubt he is being rushed, Arniel doesn't seem like the type and it's not like we are down in the series. But it would be really nice to have Lardo back, we have missed him and Ehlers dearly.

he’s obviously not being rushed if he’s wearing a white jersey so practicing for three more days is not gonna do anything he needs to play tomorrow

Are the coaching staff isn’t stupid they’re not gonna just move Vilardi to top Line after being out a month. Most likely he will be on the fourth line.
The problem with that is that it changes the complexion of the 4th line. They're all about getting up thr ice quickly in straight lines, and being heavy on the puck in the O zone
