Morrissey
Samberg
Vilardi

Am I missing someone?

Please any and all updates are appreciated!

From Illegal Curve, on Vilardi

Which brings us to today with Winnipeg preparing to host Edmonton this evening. Following morning skate head coach Scott Arniel was asked whether Vilardi had yet been on the ice. He indicated:

“No. Not yet. Close, not yet.”

With approximately one week to go before the playoffs start his availability for game 1 seems questionable but we shall have to wait and see what happens this week.

injury report lists

Pionk DTD Rest
Vilardi DTD UBI
Kupari DTD Concussion
Lowry DTD Rest
Morrissey DTD Rest
Ehlers DTD Foot
It's a little concerning up front. With Kupari being in concussion protocol he's one good hit from being shutdown. If Ehlers goes down, with Vilardi out, it would put Gustafsson in the lineup as the next man up. With JAD already in the starting lineup. Toninato is likely the 2nd reserve forward for the opening playoff game.

Is there any update on Moose players? Lambert would be up if he was healthy. Parker Ford is due to come back sometime soon, but he's been out for so long conditioning becomes the issue. Chibrikov is not supposed to be skating until the end of the month.

I woke up with the sniffles. 🤧

Sore back ( slight strain) as I helped the neighbour move his coke machine in his garage this weekend! DTD

But I’ll be good to go for the 1 st game if Coach Arniel needs me!

Go Jets Go

We all got to buy in 100%

My guess is Lambert will likely be good to go in a week or two. The fact that they allowed him to try to come back last Moose game would indicate his ailment isn't that serious.

He was able to skate and pivot juat fine when he was trying his leg out.

Didn't watch the game last night. Heard Samberg got hurt.... f***. He's been one of the Jets MVPs this year and really don't want to see a Fleury or Stanley + Pionk pair.

On top of that, two top 6ers in Ehlers and Vilardi being out is no bueno.

rumor is he’s going to fine. Arneil waved both his and Ehlers injury off as being fine and ready to go,

i’m betting bruises and swelling and a couple days of tightness…

Vilardi is very close to a return as well i hear

# 54 How long cause without him were good for an extra Lost Game or Two.
# 27 Hope he can make it back without him 1 more Loss

We can get booted from the 1st round easy with our missing players. But of course the Media won't see it that way and they'll say the full team can't win.

Did we ever find out what caused Vilardi's injury?
Was it the slew foot at the end of the Sabres game?
I think it’s his back, and they don’t want to say. Back problems come and go, but when they flare up, they are painful, and limit mobility.

He’s had back problems before and in LA, they kept him out of the lineup for long periods. They don’t really go away, and very hard to fix.

Just a guess on my part tho.

Ford is injured and Mason Shaw is probably next as he's the top scorer with the most experience, with some physicality.

Lambert lately has played well even though his goals went down a lot this season. He still has speed and had loads of assists.

Can’t recall a Jets injury situation ever being as muddy as this one with Vilardi. Feels like the Jets are throwing out a bit of a smokescreen when it comes to his status.

I’m not optimistic that he’ll be available at any point in the first round. Hoping that I’m wrong.

Laine's infamous day-to-day comes to mind

Actually any time Maurice said day to day it would be anywhere from actually factually a day to somehow a year lol

Tend to be a it wary with the Jets and injury announcements. Feel like they undersell the severity or estimation they're out.

nah. watch the interviews

Coach is smiling when he talks about it. not haggered and concerned...

I think he's fine and they are just resting him a lot so he's 100% fit for the playoffs.

He went down, and they put him on the injury list...and much like Lowry. before the 4 nations.... no real rush needed to get him on the ice . They are most likely just letting him take the extra time before Game 83 to get 100%. plus they get Iafallo who had missed games up to full game speed and ready to play on whatever line might need him...

that's what my gut is saying

Maurice would walk up to the podium on November 23rd, 1963, and announce to the world that JFK was currently D2D with an UBI.
Where’s your link?????

Maurice want even born until 1967!

I’m sick 🤧 and tired of all the Bull- crap 💩 that Maurice gets on these boards….. He won the Stanley Cup last year….. And his quote was

“ It’s great achieving a life long dream in finally winning the Stanley cup ….. if I could only wish for one more thing and that would be Winnipeg winning the cup next year”…,…..

I can’t wait 😛 for the Final of Florida /Jets and have him respond to his last years quote after just winning last years cup!
