Calgary, not because I lived there a year after leaving Wpg in ‘74, but because teams with fans who know what western Canadian Prairie Pond Hockey was, are few and far between..
And 4 years of living in Toronto surrounded by arrogant, entitled Leafs fans made me want to puke.
I remember Fort Garry Community club frozen nights with MacLean’s magazines for shin pads..

I like the underdogs. Yes they are solid but no pedigree. I like the way each franchise has built their team up from a position of weakess - and I like the manner in which they play.

That said anyone but the Leaves or Coilers suits me fine.

Living in Calgary, I'll follow the Flames games. I'm impressed with the change of culture in the Flames, and dare I say Tkachuk now reminds me of his dad's time in the 'Peg. While the Jets are always going to be my team this Flames team is reasonably likeable. As well the NYR so the Jets get the extra first rounder.

- Rangers. Even without the draft pick upgrade, I have always kind of liked them and admire how fast they've turned it around
- Tampa. 3 straight in the cap era would be something. Plus, I would greatly enjoy the implosion in Toronto. #teamchaos

NOT cheering for Calgary, for the opposite reason of everyone on here. Don't want the Jets to think they are one coach away from a Cup. New coach is needed, yes, but there are bigger issues with this team.

I’d like to see Calgary bring one home, one of the only other Canadian teams I feel I can root for. And as wrong as it feels with them being a division rival, I wouldn’t mind seeing Minnesota get a cup. Their fans deserve it after years of being “The Mild”

And the worst part was, I picked them (from out of a hat). I guess it could have been worst, I could have pulled the Laffs...

Last year, my name was pulled last so I got the team that was left...it was the Habs...
