I'd do Rango. But not Z. If we lose a bona fide top 9 to gain Meier, we will STILL have a hole in that top 9.

We still have a gap even without that type of loss. Hughes, Hischier, Bratt, Palat, Meier, and ... ? in top 6. Tatar Mercer Z in third line. Rest rounding out 4th. Would be a solid lineup.

Sharangovich is indeed top 9 and plays a bigger role than Z (pk). So either way, its a hole. A hole that gets filled bt rango or z since Meieir with slot one of those down

I guess what I'm saying is I don't see Rango as a top 6 right now, not even top 9 material right now.

Too many of our players, we say often, are the same... speed perimeter finesse. Z is an exception. Losing that to gain that (albeit betteR) moves the needle a bit but not enough IMHO.
