Anyone who didn’t watch the game but looked at the box score would think Helle stole one. SOG very misleading. Jets were all over them and score could have been worse for the Avs . Very impressive effort Jets

As an aside I hope the drunken Avs fan fighting at the phone booth gets thrown into the tank with the biggest angriest Jets fan.

You're embarrassing yourself. I'm as hard on the Avalanche as anyone. But, the Avalanche were missing a good chunk of their depth. Don't pretend like you're suddenly contenders now.

Would a Stanley Cup tell the story?
Not sure why you come on the other teams' board to talk trash?

Yes, you are missing some key players. Not as significant but the Jets are missing 2 top 9 forwards on a team that is far less talented than the defending Cup champs.

I think Chipman has learned loyalty does not make you a winner.
If he had to do it over again he would have fired Maurice in 2019.
Well said Raider, and Bowness is the reason this club is playing like Champs. Firstly he De C'd Wheeler of the Captaincy, and made a statement as to who's boss. Then he fixed the personality problems in the dressing room. Maurice wasn't willing to ruffle feathers, or scared too. This is why we're having success.

Bowness then changed the style of play, so the Jets are using their defenseman to also join in the scoring. Add to that, he's brought in some new guys that are looking real good, like Melalainen, and Fjalby, and icing all 4 lines. He will not be influenced or dictated too, by big name players like Maurice was, and "all" players are buying in. Example, Morrissey is on an 80 point scoring pace, and this is because of the style of hockey Rick has implemented.

The players do not have to be buddy buddy with the Coach, but they do have to respect him, and they do with Bowness. As for Maurice, he was more of a "nice guy" type of Coach, where the stars dictated the style of play. I think Bowness is the perfect fit for this club, and you have to wonder now -- is this team a Stanley Cup contender -- especially with Ehlers back in February ? I think yes.
