Jets/Canes game has NO TV timeouts in 3rd

As most know, there are three TV-timeout stoppages - one each after the 14, 10, and 6 minute marks. With the exception of after a goal, and icing, or in the middle of a power play.

Very rare they can’t get the 3rd timeout in. In the Jets/Canes game tonight, they didn’t get a single one in! The final 14 minutes there were only 6 stoppages - 2 goals and 4 icings. There was a stoppage with 30 seconds left but they didn’t take a tv timeout (why? Last minute of play?).

The ice got noticeably poor with all the snow building up not just along the boards but all over the ice.

Sportsnet is awful and Paul Romanuk enjoys listening to himself talk anyway.

Hockey Night In Canada will not even put the Winnipeg Jets on a Saturday night show so we are a Sportsnet team.

so what happens, they have to refund hundreds of thousands of dollars to the advertisers? I always wondered what happens if there are no TV timeouts

I work at a TV station and when stuff like this happens to us we just air it in a similar time (during a game) the following week. So essentially we would lose money yes

Not TV station that runs NHL games though so maybe they handle it differently

Likewise, I always wondered how they schedule the commercials for something like the NFL where you can't be sure how many commercial breaks there will be.

Takes you 5 minutes to pee?

Stand up, scoot down the row of fans, walk up the steps, around the concourse, find a bathroom, pee

WASH MY HANDS

back around the concourse, down the steps, back through the crowd to my seat.

Yes, a solid 5 minutes at top speed. One assumes there will be a whistle and you don’t miss 5 minutes of actual gameplay.

As well I used to wonder about this.
But today's commercials are the same f**king 2 or 3 every bloody period with the odd 4th one thrown in that I'm sure they've played them enough by then.

Men shouldnt have to wash their hands unless you are touching yourself or a disgusting handle of sorts

Never understood that, its so simple to whip my weenie out and piss and then get it back in without ever touching anything other than my pants. No wash necessary, shave a minute off!

Did you ever consider you’re touching things other people are touching in public restrooms? Doors for example? Its not a bad idea to wash your hands. Besides, it takes just a moment.

Guessing you've never heard of splash back.
