He sucks though. Can't play D. We might as well have Mike Rathje back there if we want a big guy with grit that can't defend.

He has struggled so far for sure. There are better players that I believe will beat him for a spot. However, that play wasn't nearly as bad a Samberg going for a big hit at the blueline, missing, losing his stick, Avs then going to get his stick all on the pk.

There's player assessment, and then there's just weird hate for a player who is wearing a Jets uniform

Agreed. He clears waivers. Capobianco too. At this point Stan might too

Heinola just isn't looking good enough to stick so far. He shows flashes but then has a number of not great sequences.

Stanley isn't great but he's been much better then in game 1.

Jets are going to give Stanley ever chance to stick with the team, it would take a great showing by either Heinola or Samberg and quite frankly they haven't done enough to unseat him in preseason so far
